Looks like they switched up places for immortal guards in this build, among other things. Originally, the distracting guard firing away at the tentacle bullshit was chopped into pieces right away (as established) while the one at 56:10 was fucking immortal. You could whack him a billion times with the crowbar and paint the room with his blood and all he did was get upset with you. END OF THE LINE for you! Hey, did anyone else turn guards hostile towards Freeman and let them kill him in order to trigger the funniest possible post-kill dialogue line, reserved for the guards killing an enemy? My favorite was "that'll look nice in my trophy room"

I like the idea the the river of glowing green radioactive goo is just everything you pour down the sink after your chemistry experiments combined with liquefied reactor waste, all the sewage generated throughout the base and copious amounts of radium. I also like how the turrets make an Eagle screech while waking up after spotting you; just so you know it's 'murica that's gonna kill you.

1:11:00 The Spoony One actually made a great video that showed this exact thing, because in the video he talked about jump-scares in movies and why they generally suck, because they do nothing but startle you. They don't scare you, just startle you. However, he demonstrated that the anxiety that it should happen again (or just at all) can be an efficient way of creating suspense, because he used a jump-scare in his video, then the rest of the video went on by until the end where he used it again. It was quite fucked up and he got a lot of complaints from people, because the jump-scares weren't announced beforehand, but he demonstrated his point. The anxiety and suspense you're feeling is what can make scary games scary. Jump-scares alone, like in FNaF aren't efficient enough.

The Source version of Half Life used to be the best version, and function completely normally.... Buuuuuuuut in 2013 Valve released a bunch of pointless updates to the engine that broke a lot of things in the game, mainly scripting (See immortal guard) though also little things too (See floating scientist in Episode 1), and it hasn't been fixed to this day.

I enjoyed Chibnall's "42". I mean it's the old "trapped on a space station that's doomed, cut off from the TARDIS, gottstasavetheday" plot line, but it was fun. Well developed supporting cast, some cool stuff with The Doctor getting possessed. Overall quite good. He also did the S5 2 parter "The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood" with the Silurians. Some people feel that it fell short of the mark a bit, but I actually really enjoy it still. Some cool visuals, again, a strong supporting cast and you get to see a bit of 11's new morals and personality shine through. I'm tentatively optimistic about his tenure.

14:30 It makes sense that the smg is inaccurate, but realistically the pistol should have it as well if not worse. But that's gameplay balacing for you. Did you know that the pistol deals 8 Points of Damage and the smg only 5? If you have good aim, the pistol is actually the better option for everything but close range, especially if you need to conserve ammo (which isn't the case most of the time, but it happens in some levels).

So this version is the glitchy one? :) In my first playthrough of the original, all of the sliding platforms in the area at 32:00 refused to move. In my second playthrough, Freeman would become stuck in every elevator throughout the game, unless jumping and being in the air at the moment the elevators stopped. In my third playthrough, on of the doors wouldn't open for the tram sequence in the beginning of the game so Freeman got squished as the tram clipped through the closed door...
