Yakima S54 Racks + EasyTrip 470 + Mazda6 GL

Family needs more cargo / boot / trunk space?
Best option is a station wagon (estate vehicle) with a roof mounted cargo carrier. youll have more storage than an suv, and you can still fit in your garage or city carparks.
Car: 2016 Mazda 6 GL Sport (no sunroof)
Racks: Yakima S54YB (same as prorack) / S54
Cargo carrier box: Yakima EasyTrip 470 (its the medium in the range, you can buy smaller or larger)
Can install all this on my own, but easier with a friend. Waterpoof and fairly safe. minimal noise on highway. adds a tiny bit to fuel consumption, but less than 1 extra litre per 100km.
2016 Mazda 6 2.5 petrol NA does 5.75L/100 usually. with box on top i get 6.5L/100km now. 110kph, air con, raining., etc, 2 adults, 2 children, fully loaded
