I am from Melbourne, I am now in Ukraine. The war in Ukraine would be over if Russian passports were blocked. I can't understand how Russian people can enjoy their lives and money when I can't take my daughter to the beach in Odesa. Now I must go to Spain, because of mines, missiles and rubbish from the dam being blown up. Enjoy my State, I hope you don't catch a virus. We have so many people from China,, combines with the climate, the chance of influenza is high. Oh btw, prostitution is legal in Melbourne, you can make some quick money if you want.

Pity that you did not go to Phillip Island and see the penguins. They all go out to sea fishing during the day and return to the shore and their burrows at dusk. It is wonderful to see them waddling up the beach to the sandhills. They are little ones. I think they are called ‘Fairy Penguins’. A very nice city to visit is Adelaide in South Australia. South Australia is the main wine producing state.

Eli makes such fantastic videos it's hard to say any are better than others. But this one stood out. In the UK we tend to think of Aus as a warmer, bigger version of our country. But in reality non English speaking immigrants have played a massive part. So it's great to hear from them. It's also funny to hear Eli talk in Russian then use English expressions like 'culture shock' without translation. The world is such an amazing and surprising place. I'm trying to get my head around the woman whose parents were German and Chinese - with Russian as their common language! And the guy from Siberia who has grown up there still seems like a very serious Russian. Until he speaks in English - and lightens up. I hope the KZbin algorithm didn't pick up that busker performing the Kylie song :)

Hi Eli, Love your videos, great to see our wonderful country from a different perspective. FYI, according to most demographers Melbourne (IMO the greatest city in the world but I'm very biased) has taken over Sydney as the most populous city in Australia. This is on a technicality around city borders which have changed a little over the last few years. But all demographers agree that within a couple of years Melbourne will clearly be the most populous city in Australia.

Australian wines are officially the best in the world at the moment, winning more gold medals at the recent Decanter World Wine Awards 2023 than any other country (and by quite a margin)

I'm very pleased as an Australian that you enjoyed your trip. Australia is a very easy place to live in with a high living standard and a very democratic political system and freedom of speech. I like the way that you present your travels. I think the only thing that you could have mentioned is the extreme diversity of people who have made Australia home.

As a Brit your friend's accent sounds Australian yet with an undertone as though it was not his first language though not sure I could have identified where without this program.

Navigating Melbourne & suburbs is made easy by their roads having a more grid pattern that make compass directions easy to determine. I miss knowing city navigation as well as I know Melbourne, but I like the climate of South East Queensland better.

Melbourne is my favourite city. I have lived in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. But I could easily live in any of them. I like cities with four seasons.

His accent is full East coast Aussie. You can only hear a slight Russian influence on certain words but you would be doing very well to spot them.

Eli thank you so much for your videos. You are a very creative and talented person. I’ve been to Melbourne and Sydney-prefer Melbourne. Drove the Great Ocean Rd and saw the apostles via helicopter - you’ve brought back good memories.
