Dear Eli. It is perfectly OK, to do what you feel, no matter what other people think you should do. For me are videos about Paris or San Francisco boring. And i am happy, that there is someone like you, who is showing us "russian world" from Black see to Kamchatka. Including ex-soviet countries and countries which were part of that "russian world" , like Mongolia. Because of your videos, i am not "average idiot" fed by dumb western TV propaganda about Russia (drunk illiterate gopniks, poverty, dry toilets,...), because you are showing that regions as they really are. 👍💚

Depends on which capital. I would love to go to Edinburgh. I loved Madrid, we go there any time. They organise amazing bus excursions in the 100 km radius from Madrid, with places like Toledo. Also Prague. Usually it is the second biggest city in each country that is the best, small enough and big enough at the same time. Barcelona, Isfahan in Iran. Mediaeval towns of Germany, like Lybeck. In Italy I do not at all ant to go to Rome, looks too touristy. But I would love to go to Ravenna. The same goes for Russia. St Petersburg is so much more worth the visit than Moscow. Already only for the Hermitage. But St Petersburg and Russia in general is depressing for me, cannot stay in St Petersburg for more than 3 days without the help of psychotropic drugs. Europe is great, but you have to use your brain and your heart and do some research and think about where you want to go. Never rely on the tourist paths and traps. There are not even real, they rip off your money and limit your visit to an amazing Old town by just a few streets. I can se this in my home town of Tallinn. Tourists stay on 3/5 streets, those are packed with tourists who have no idea about what they want. And 70 per cent of the Old town is empty. Which is the way I like it, all for me, peaceful and really mediaeval. Really mediaeval, not for show. Just saying that if anyone ever comes to Tallinn, the Old town has more to it than the Town Hall square and Viru street. Just saying although I probably should not. Less competition for peace and quiet. I think one should travel to one place at a time and concentrate. Do the homework, think things through> what kind of stuff you want to see. If you just wonder around aimlessly, following the herd of other tourists, you just waste your time and money. Ever wondered why cafes and restaurants on main streets never have local clients. Because we are aware of much better places. For example I hate Las Ramblas in Barcelona. It is crazy. There is so much there that you end up experiencing absolutely nothing. But if you walk just 5 minutes from it, keeping in mind that you know where you are going, you will find the real Barcelona. So, my lesson from all my travelling is to do my homework. The less time I have somewhere, the more I have to think things through. But yes, sometimes I just want to walk aimlessly and see where I end up. But do not make the mistake of blindly following the herd of other tourists, others like you who have no idea where it is wort to go. Go where your heart calls you. And usually the streets most empty are the most interesting. Maybe it is just me but I simply cannot stand it when people are all packed on top of each other. I cannot understand why so many people like to eat their dinner on a crazy street, outside, with 8 rows of heavy traffic and all the people right 5 cms from you. Some people enjoy that kind of thing. But I would look for the places where locals like to go If some places have only tourists, it is better to keep away. I also like to read in cafes so I usually look for cafes that would be a good reading environment.

Glad to see you visited Mongolia. While most people live in cities the culture is still nomadic and people preserve it. Which is important to not lose your identity in this modern world. It’s our second home and we’re celebrating the day we’re finally going back. Edit: Mongolians value education a lot! That’s why schools are mostly even more modern than government buildings. And parents are doing everything (!) for their children’s education. I always admired them for that.

@@GingerBreadMan144 Buryat language, cuisine, clothing, music, wrestling and religion is heavily Mongolic in nature. Historically, Lake Baikal region was the most valuable and contested area since the last ice age. Turkic clans, who co-existed and often inter-married with Mongolic clans to form alliances, also lived near Altai Mountains to Lake Baikal region. Various Turkic clans (like the Xiongnu federation, Gokturks, Uyghurs, or Yenisei Kyrgyz) ruled the Mongolian steppe for thousand of years before the Mongol Empire. The Sakha (aka Yakut) people are Turkic tribes that used to live near Lake Baikal region. Superb Eli! The aerial shots were nicely integrated. I traveled there for two weeks by train from Beijing on the way to Moscow in 1992 just after the USSR had collapsed and their economy was in shambles. We had to sneak our relatively fresh food in from China and eat in basements while in the capital but everyone was so resilient and hopeful. I could tell so many great stories form that land. Our driver was drunk all the time and lost but there was nothing to crash into on the steppe so we drove from Ger to Ger (Yurt) asking for directions and became guests automatically. They plied us with fermented horse milk before sending us off again so we were always drunk too!

Eli, I am so happy that you traveled the road less traveled. I absolutely adore your videos. Just recently I read a book about Genghis Khan one of the great leaders ever and how he shaped the modern world. I am watching the video now and I’m watching the children dancing in costume. The way that you produce these videos with all of the scenery and the music and the costumes and all of the information is amazing. I feel like I’m right there with you. Thank you so very much, my dear. Keep up the good work. 🙏 💕

@@ElifromRussiaPROPAGANDA W O R K S ! You are not credible... Your father is now in good company with thousands of dead Russians and Ukrainians... And what about your friends ? Your beloved little brother is ready to fight and die ? You are not credible. You speak five languages, you are good, you are sensitive. Very good. In all these years, not a word against the war... You are not credible. You talk about Russian culture. What appears today is only culture of death... You are not credible. Autocracy, repression, censorship, torture and no outrage, only silence... You are not credible. Indiscriminate bombing, rape, looting, energy blackmail, economic and global destabilisation... You are not credible. But you are Russian... This is not politics. It is humanity. And those who read you know it. You are not credible. Children murdered, deported, old men and women refugees in foreign lands, with nothing left... You are not credible. I watched this youtube channel recommended by my lecturer and it is really amazing. Your exploration from the bustling capital of Ulaanbaatar to the vast and scenic steppes is really cool and interesting. As someone who has a strong desire to travel but is currently limited by circumstances, your detailed representation of the trail and your experience was nothing short of enthralling. Your attention to detail, both during filming and editing, is excellent and deeply appreciated. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences!
