The empty lot was only free area in Kamurocho. Everything else was owned by the Tojo Clan and Tachibana Real Estate. Whoever owned would gain the advantage in the power struggle over the city The Lieutenants wanted it to garnish favor with the chairman to get Kazama's place as Tojo Clan Captain, Tachibana wanted it as a bartering tool to get information about his sister's whereabouts (the same sister Majima protects in Osaka)

As someone who heard the Western opening first, Bubble's definitely the better opening, in both quality and relevance. The song is about economic bubble in Japan, waving cash around, partying. Perfect for Kamurocho and especially Sotenbori. The vocal chorus is more hype than the guitar riffs of the international opening. I am happy the Western release received a song for the opening for 0. Usually Sega just plastered one of the combat themes over the opening for the Western release and called it a day.

@@Pan_Z I wasn't aware of the reference to economic bubble when I first heard it but the song always give me a bit of sadness that I can't explain. Like all this glory showing on the screen was foreshadowing for something bad about to happen. The Western song was good too but all the feeling I get is wanting to smash some faces with a bicycle on the sidewalk XD Both versions give me hype but I must say the Japanese version conveys more meaning.

This opening to one of my favorite games legitimately made me motivated. After my internship at an engineering company, I started playing the Yakuza series non-stop, got so addicted to these games that my grades in schools started to look bad. When it was time for finals, I listened to this opening to get motivated for studying and it worked tremendously. I finished with all A’s and B’s on my finals and straight B’s in my classes last semester. Yesn't. It'd be pretty hard to blend the silly sidestories & minigames and the dark main story into normal anime episodes. And one really isn't the same without the other. Then again, Gintama managed to do something rather similar, so it might just work somehow. What I would _love_ to see however, is a Kazama prequel. The devs already stated that they don't want a game protagonist who kills people, and now that I think about it, showing us his backstory in the form of an anime would be the perfect workaround. Doubt it'll ever happen, but a man can dream.

Hello future me. I am at chapter seven with a playtime of 116.5 hours (completion list is basically done. those hours were well spent). My girlfriend is almost in love with Majima and also cried several times in the story missions. Now on the Chapter 12, i dont know man.. maybe one of the best game i have played in my life beside Suikoden 2 and Sekiro. And Yakuza 0 is my first Yakuza series. Yakuza 0, the MOST UNDERRATED game of all time!

Wow, someone else who appreciates Suikoden 2 (aka my favorite game of all-time)! Anyway, I agree that Y0 is one of the best games ever as well. It won't be underrated for much longer though, as it's SERIOUSLY gaining a lot of traction and attention. Heck, the Yakuza franchise, as a whole, seems to be finally taking off in the West (long overdue). Kudos to Playstation, XBox and Steam for exposing the series to people.

Suikoden 2 will forever be my best game of all time, because it has a really really good story, good gameplay, i am so sad that only few people know this masterpiece.. and I hope Suikoden 2 can get its REMAKE like Final Fantasy 7 !

This is one of the few intros I prefer NA ver to the original ver. No matter how many times I repeat, it always gives me goose bumps and emotion roller coaster.
