Thank you for both inspiration and sharing your experience. The timelapse element really shows the 'what' of your 'why'. Keep 'em coming: I'm sure you're educating more than just this newbie from Massachusetts, USA.

Hope I can get a big tree like this and make it into a nice bonsai like you’ve been doing

I’m not seeing a small tree that evokes an old, tortured tree but it’s still really compelling. I like the late 80’s to mid 90’s Bob Dylan vibe in the beginning too.

Very informative lesson on shaping and using tension wires. Quite the beautiful transformation!! Brilliant pad formation and movement - love the repetitive elements. What will be your fertilizer regime going forwards?

Jelle, when would you say the best time of year is to dig up yamadori Scot’s pine? Height of summer, or early autumn?

I'm not sure how I feel about the main 3 branch split in this one.

I think the top branch could be removed and the style would be more flowing!

Jelle, het is niet JIN, je spreekt het uit als DJIN. Echt waar. Doe dat maar, het is de professionele uitspraak.
