Yamah EAD10 - Using the Rec'N'Share App

Would be geat if in the Owner's Manual on Page 47 there was something in large boldfaced letter, "Must Use Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter" or mention in the video. Thanks. Great device!

yeah. 3 years into this product and still so much confusion because of that. Took a bunch of scouring the internet forums and posts like yours to suss it out. Kind of amazing yamaha has never addressed such a glaring fuck up.

It doesn't work on my phone. The app doesn't recognize any connection with the ead10 module. Don't buy it if you haven't tried using it with your phone first

@@zoldlomblegolas1 seems like this has always been a problem for some but even more so recently. Have no idea what the deal is. Still like the ead10 though as a practice tool and fun little jam toy esspecially seeing as it was a gift

I have the same problem. Supposedly it’s been an issue for others too but for them in the past it was only a once and a while thing. Since I got the ead10 recently Ive been having the same problem only it’s every time I go to record. Regardless of the external recording via the app not working I still find the ead10 itself to be fun and a great practice tool.

I really love this device and the app, great! But does anyone know how to delete tracks from the local songs in the REC n Share app? An iPhone has limited space and memory 😉 Did not find it in the Yamaha manual.

Do you need a usb to lightning converter with an additional headphone jack? I can get audio when I plug my EAD into my phone. I’ve tried Bluetooth and all audio outputs on the EAD.

That’s all great and all but can somebody please explain how to actually connect my EAD to the app? I don’t need to know that it’s possible, I need to know how and this video doesn’t help with jack squat

I think so... probably. I’ve had problems w Rec’n’Share and my phone so I gave up on it... howEVER, if it’s working ok for you, you could try to share and save a given spotify song to Dropbox and then go to Local Songs on Rec’n’Share and upload from dropbox from there. That theoretically should work. Don’t let my app issues deter you though, it might be fine for you and regardless I find the ead10 itself to be a great tool for practice and just a really fun toy without the functionality of recording externally with use of the app.

Hmm..mind showing us some "Connection" samples, or is this just a "Review" to get a free EAD10? Also, how bout file loading and transfer? Ya make it sound so easy..but it isn't "Plug N Play". Rec N Share does have an Android version as well. But again, connection and "Library" recognition is a major issue.
