Yamaha EF2200iS Generator Review

The Yamaha EF2200iS generator launched this month and we got our hands on one to see whether Yamaha's new middle-child generator (2000, 2200, and 2400) was a good bet for 4X4 tourers. To put it through its paces we made it run the air-conditioning on a caravan and much more.

Yamaha generators are good quality. I just wish they updated them more often than every decade. Honda is still the king in my opinion. I own both.

Which is more loud the Yamaha ef2200 or the Honda eu2200?

The Yamaha is just a tad louder at idle. Under a full load they are about the same. Both are great.

@@rebellucy5610 i know honda is the more or less gold standard but the fuel gauge and carb drain are very welcome features on the Yamaha. The output meter is cool also but not a deal breaker.

@@BrokeGuyBBQ i would probably look into the Yamaha 2200 vs. 2000. A couple extra watts can be mighty useful for another $100 bucks. Either way you can't go wrong.

Yamaha f*** up not making it quieter!! I would already own 2 if they did.

Yamaha failed on that. I bought 2 , garbage, getting rust very fast inside the frame end outside. Problems in eco mode,overloaded always. Going back to honda again. DO NOT BUY THAT GARBAGE.

Garbage, I bought one new, overloaded with 5000 btu windows ac, many pulls to start. Shameful
