Beautiful video I have some AT-2020’s in my Arsenal. Cool fact is that Billie Eilish earlier in her career also used the AT-2020 in some of her popular recordings. I will be using my Yamaha MG06X for a small podcast this week instead of pulling out my trusty Mackie ProFX10v3. I adore that mixer but plan on getting the Yamaha MG12XU in the near future. When I’m DJ’ing I take my MG06X or Mackie ProFX6v3 literally everywhere that I go. Thanks Mr. Kettner for all your informative videos!

Could this setup apply to an Audio Technica AT2020 & Yamah MG06X?

The MG10XU that we use for our church works fine, but for some reason the signal meter isn't functioning the way its suppose to. Only the bottom light of the meter flashes, but everything else remains dark. Do we have a defect or is there a switch on the mixer that needs to be enabled for the meter level to work? Thanks so much for this video and for your help. Jesus bless you all! :)

Love your videos. Any chance you could do a set up video for the Peavey PV10AT mixer with the Audio Technica AT2020 microphone?

I have the same home set up. Thanks for the video. Have a question in mind. When m doing Facebook live/Zoom meet with this mixer i'm adding reverb when i'm singing. But when I'm talking/interacting with people I don't like to add reverb to my speech. How to control this with this mixer ? should I turn off the Fx button while giving speech ? please help !!

Love all the videos. Any chance you could do ones where you show how to connect a DJ controller to the Yamaha 10 to get the best sound output? Maybe show a controller that doesn’t have xlr outputs (only rca outputs) and another that does, but still runs through the Yamaha.
@kettnercreative4 жыл бұрын
I can certainly add it to the list. I don't have any DJ controllers in the shop her, but we're getting a lot of requests for this so I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion

So my younger me bought an MG10, which has no USB output + a Steinberg UR12. So my mic goes XLR in MG10, XLR out, XLR In UR12, USB out. My UR12 keeps peeking and I can't really use the settings I use on my MG10 because the UR12 will just keep peeking even tho all gains and volumes on the UR12 are put to 0. In my case: How can I handle this?

Hey! Love your videos! Thank you for all your help. I’m using this exact setup for my singing streams and I can’t get the sound right. I tend to use the #4 setting, but when it comes to reverb I can’t get it right. I’m going through stream labs, so don’t know if people at home are hearing the same thing as what I’m hearing through my headphones. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, that's great. Thanks. What if I want to record a video clip counting the mic and mixer to smart phone?
@kettnercreative4 жыл бұрын
Then you just need to connect it to your phone using the USB cable.

Hey I have my connected to the pc using the USB but I ha an incredibly low audio going in. Has there been a fix for this or a work around?
@kettnercreative4 жыл бұрын
If you have low audio, it could be two things: 1) If you're on Windows, make sure you have the newest driver 2) Make sure that your gain is turned up so you are getting close to 0 on the led meter. Don't be afraid of using gain.

My mic comes through at a reasonable level in various recording / chat software (Audacity, OBS, Discord), but I'm still not able to get the level on my mixer to light up at all, even at max gain/max level/max comp - any ideas on why this might be happening? Is my output level meter just broken?
@CodyHouck4 жыл бұрын
Do you have a video for mic settings that are actually on the pc. I have this setup and everyone in my discord says my mic is low. I use these same settings and everything on my computer is set to max.
@kettnercreative4 жыл бұрын
I would say keep raising the gain. The PC should be left at it's default line-in settings.

Hey Jordan, I have heard AT2020 and it's a phenomenal mic for game streaming, but the new Blue Ember seems quite good too as per almost every online review. But, I feel those reviews may have a little bias as they are influencer activities. I trust your opinion if you have heard both of them, can you tell me which one is a better choice?
@kettnercreative4 жыл бұрын
I don't have a ton of experience with any of the Blue microphones, we will likely have some coming in a couple weeks so we can do comparisons/demos for you. That being said, I was genuinely shocked at how great the AT2020 sounds for the price. I can't say how it compares to the Blue Ember, but the AT2020 is definitely a great value.

Hi everyone, Can y'all recommend me some microphones that: -can be used to record with a smartphone -can also be used with and benefit from an audiointerface -versatile enough to be used on most instruments and singing. -studio/high quality

Sounds like you want a Shure SM57 with the optional A2WS windscreen. Super versatile, bulletproof, inexpensive.

Condenser mics will only receive phantom power if you use an XLR cable. Using an RCA cable will not power your microphone.
