In Sweden, you can get the AM license when you're 15, A1 when you're 16, A2 when you're 18 and A when you're 24. Or, if you've had the A2 for two years or more you can get the full A license from when you're 20 years old. Just figured you might be interested in knowing that! Anyway, I took my A2 license (18 years old) about a month ago and have been riding around on a ninja 300. I love the bike, however it's tiny! I might be buying an MT07 in a few weeks if everything goes accordingly. Great video, keep it up

Useful to know, I'm ever so jealous! The MT07 will be a good choice, despite being on the Ninja 300.

Same in Finland, I was planning on doing my A2 this summer as I just turned 18, but I fucked up my car test in England so I did that here instead. Might get the A2 next year because I don't have friends who I need to drive around, nor do I have the spare cash to burn on fuel for a car lol. I've also had my AM for 3 years now since 15 :D

Would you recommend the ninja 250/300 for a good first motorcycle? How is it reliability wise/does it have good fuel consumption? Thanks :)

Hey EvolutionMotovlogs , since you have the restricted mt 07, how does that work? Do you buy a different restricted model and then the normal model after or do you buy the normal model and then restrict? sorry for any grammar mistakes

8/10 it's a throttle restriction! :)

It's the same model, it has a throttle stop on the throttle valve. It restricts the turn/degree of the throttle. This can be removed/installed very easily.

I’m finding myself constantly returning to your page to keep an eye out on new content. This is from when I followed you on your 50cc. Few questions. Are you ok? Do you still ride? Would you create more content? I’d love to go for a ride sometime. You are the reason I ride today. Stay safe.
@EvolutionMotovlogs8 ай бұрын
Hey Rewboy, Evo here. Thanks for the comment. Great questions. I hope you are well. I'm very well and doing OK. My life took off like a rocket ship at aged 19, like most young adults - things such as my career, relationship, and all sorts of boring adult responsibilities started to creep in! Unfortunately, my ability to content create took a constant decline until, eventually, I inadvertently hung up my KZbin boots without meaning too. KZbin is something I miss dearly and do wish I had managed the capacity to have continued. I may return, but suspect I'll need to reboot the channel, hah! I do still ride, but not very often. My bike journey continued to evolve and at 23 I passed my progressive access (full license) - own a Street Triple 765RS now, which replaced the MT-07. I have folders and folders of archived videos which I never edited and arguably some of what felt like my best content to date. I do contemplate releasing those videos into the world after 6 years or so... Thanks for reaching out once again, Ihope that helps fill some curiosity. Stay AWESOME, ride safe!

nice vid man! lil tip for you instead of you blurring out your Speedo whenever you go 1mph over the speed limit *cough cough ;)* if you use some head light wrap, tinted or I prefer the chameleon one, and put it on the Speedo, the light reflects off it and the camera can't pick up the Speedo during the day, 2 quid and 5 mins work to save you having to edit it out, because I know how much of a pain it can be!

Hey! Thanks for the comment, I hope you are well. I'm feeling very nostalgiac! I'm very well, life has flown by and I most certainly miss the content creation. My life became rather relentless in my early 20s, with my full time career taking off and adult life consuming the majority of my spare time. I have continued riding... evolved to my full license at 21, from my A2 at 19 - the MT-07 was replaced by a ST765RS to which I've owned for a while now. It sounds like you've had a great journey on your own two wheels... and glad to hear little man is following in your foot steps. I've a soft spot for the superduke.... Love your videos man! Just wondering, as I'm goin for my A2 licence September, was thinking about gettin the MT07 restricted, how much does a tank of fuel cost you (roughly) and now you've ridden it for a while, how often do you fuel up?
@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adam, appreciate the support! A full tank is generally around £15 (sometimes a little less, can be a tad more if you run it low and use the expensive high octane stuff!). I'm certain I get a decent 60mpg, burns up about 150-200 miles per tank but these are just approx figures. Fuel efficiency is more than adequate in my opinion, considering my car runs around 30mpg...

@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
Difficult question, I've worked my way up every year from a 50cc, to 125 and so forth (but, I didn't have an option due to the laws/age limits on licenses). This was extremely beneficial, an ideal starter bike would be 125c as they're very forgiving, light and easy to ride/maintain. However, I do believe you could start on the MT07 restricted, you may want to invest in a few extra training days/sessions! Ultimately, it's down to the individual/rider and whether you're confident/skilled enough but remember, practice makes perfect! :)

hi buddy! im 18 and 19 in may and im very tempted to buy the fz but how difficult is it to restrict or does it come from factory (if you select that option)
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
Hey! Restrict or is VERY simple; it's a throttle cap. 15 Minutes to install/remove and will be an option to have at purchase. :)

Awesome bike! Did you have to restrict this to meet the A2 restrictions?
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude! - Yes, it's throttle restricted.
@joechristopher3387 жыл бұрын
EvolutionMotovlogs oh okay. How did you go about doing that? I will be 19 soon and I am planning on getting an MT 07 too.
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
Very easy to fit and/or remove. Two bolts - takes around 5-10 minutes.
@joechristopher3387 жыл бұрын
EvolutionMotovlogs How do you know how much the throttle needs to be restricted?
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
The throttle restirctor is fixed; it's set to the correct degree to restrict the output per kg.

Do you still have the bike? If so, do you still like it as much? Any cons during this time? I'm going to be getting this about the end of March! :) Good vid!!
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes, I still own the MT07 - more videos to come soon :). I absolutely love it, there are too many pro's to list; for an A2 motorcycle it's phenomenal but there are a few cons to be aware of. The rear suspension is awful, very bouncy - you can replace the shock absorber with Ohlins or Nitron and this will transformer the handling but obviously it's an additional cost to the bike. The paint quality is okay but the swing arm is prone to rust. No major faults and for the price of the bike, it's great value.

Hi mate just wondering when I go to do insurance on a 650 or so cc and declaring it restricted its giving me quotes like triple it would be unrestricted and tips or advice thanks, nice bike btw
@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
Hey! When I select my MT-07 on insurance websites - two variants appear with different BHP. outputs I don't recall there being a difference in cost/price. It should be based on age, experience, location etc. In some cases, I don't think you need to declare it's restricted or provide proof - some insurers are different to others though so it's at their discretion. Be patient and keep searching around, you'll get there! :)

After having read through the comments I have only one question. The 35kW is rideable after A2, the 55kW isn't. If you initially get the 35kW version is it possible to "unlock" the 55kW capacity after getting your A license? If so is this expensive?
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
The 35kw and 55kw are the exact same motorbike, the restriction is a small plate which is place on the throttle body to restrict the power output. This can be installed/remove at ease, only takes 15 minutes to do so. A garage can fit and provide certification of the power for you. Therefore, you can can purchase it restricted or derestricted and ride it in which form is suitable for your license! :)

For someone who hasn't had extensive experience on a CBT, how easy would it be to obtain an A2 licence? My u-turns are still shocking, will they touch upon it in training?
@EvolutionMotovlogs5 жыл бұрын
My A2 consisted of 4 days (two days training, two days test). The first 48 hours was spent mastering the different riding skills required etc.

Cool bike. But why dossnt people get the Street triple insted?
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
Street triple was a far more expensive option, plus there restricted model in my opinion is a very bad decision as it's internal limitations. I'd opt for the RS model, but not legal on my license.

You can take your CBT on your own motorcycle or use one of theirs (normally included in the cost of the CBT). I took my CBT on my RS50.

Hey! I was just wondering if your MT07 is A2 restricted (35kW≈50HP) in the video? Because it looks like it really moves. Cheers from Sweden and a future MT07 owner (taking my A2 license next year).
@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes, the MT07 is throttle restricted - this just restrict the throttle movement. The 'R6 throttle mod' is certainly worth a look. The MT07 is a phenomenal A2 option for the cost, I'd highly recommend it! :)

How tall are you man? looking for a mt125 and I am 200cm tall. Very big yeah...I know. I want to know if it is going to hurt my back and if it looks dumb
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
I'm around 1.7M (5ft 10). You'll be better suited for an upright motorbike like the MT-125 as oppose to a sportsbike. I'd always recommend sitting on one and seeing how it feels before purchasing.

Hi Man, Just wondering can you be 19 and take the A2 Licence or do you have to have previous bike experience? Thanks man!
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
At 19, you can take your A2 license - BUT, you need to pass a CBT and theory test first. Easily achievable in a one day course, just over £100.

How much different was the acceleration and power/torque with a pillion? Cheers mate
@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
I certainly noticed a difference, it's a lot harder to put down the power because the front wheel wants to lift up with all the added weight on the rear. Braking is harder and acceleration is slightly slow (as expted).

Quick question I’m 19 if I pass my A2 license , do have to be actively riding for 2years to then go for my A license at 21 or can you have to just hold a license for 2 years without riding then go for an a lisence (money getting a bit tight to constantly upgrade )
@EvolutionMotovlogs6 жыл бұрын
Hi Shaz, if you pass your A2 at 19, you'll be eligible for your full license two years after (21). You just need to be a license holder... although the riding experience would be very much so useful for the A license. The A2 doesn't expire, so theoretically you're not forced in to your full license.
@shazjawaid73536 жыл бұрын
EvolutionMotovlogs thanks think I’ll get pass my a2 and stay on my 125cc I’ll upgrade after 2 years to an A bike . Thanks for your reply 👍🏾

So I’ve got my cbt, and am 19 in March. Do I have to do an A1 first then the A2 or can I skip the A1 and go straight to the A2? I’ve had a cbt since I was 16.
@EvolutionMotovlogs5 жыл бұрын
You don't need to do your A1 in order to take your A2. You can go CBT --> A2 --> Full License. However, a CBT expires after 2 years - if you passed at 16 it's likely expired and you'll need to renew.
@jamesd84215 жыл бұрын
EvolutionMotovlogs thanks for clearing that up, it’s a very confusing system. I’ve had my CBT since 16 and did it agin when I was 18 so should be all good for my A2 in March. The MT 07 is without a doubt the one for me though, currently riding the MT 125 and love it. Ride safe.

It's been awhile, what is the mt07 like restricted and do you pay slot for insurance?
@EvolutionMotovlogs7 жыл бұрын
It doesn't effect the top speed; just the torque/how quick you can put the power down - it picks up quick enough to smile restricted!
