جابر المغامر مول الزريعة هشام normally I would agree, however Suzuki and several other makers have managed to make great sounding stock exhausts, and I would say cuz it is such a affordable bike too so that might play into it, but I like how they changed the z650s stock exhaust. it is forgiveable cuz the bike is just so nice regardless. but it is a pain changing an exhaust just cuz u want to change its sound (not volume, in my case, just sound). I have put slips on but I am getting to the point where I don't want to have to mess with an exhaust and then a power commander to make it work rights. it adds up. this bike is just so nice tho

I came from a GSX-R750 to and FZ-07 I wouldn't call it a beginner bike, but it is a bike you can buy and never need to get rid of because it's so versatile. I really like mine so far and it's got more than enough power for any rider that is using it for commuting and street use. I'd even venture to say you'd be able to get in more trouble on it rather than a bigger bike like the FZ-09.

Which do you like more the 750 or the MT07 ? Do you still own the MT? What makes you like one over the other and has your view changed at all why etc

@@Fee.1 I've moved on to a BMW 1250GSA that being said I would 100% still pick the FZ07 it was an overall more fun bike. This is also the reason I own the GSA since they are similar in the way the engine outputs power more torque than high speed and revs. The GSX-R750 just had speed on the FZ07, but lacked fun factor outside of that...

Hey Chase, radiators aren't black because it isn't as efficient to dissipate heat. Mythbusters did a video on that. Black absorbs all light, therefore, gets hotter.

I wouldn't say I don't care. I'll totally agree, intro was long on this one, but if you watch it I feel like it flows with the song which is honestly my number 1 thing I think about while editing. If the song would have been faster paced the intro would have been shorter. Don't know if you care about that, but that's a little in site into why it's the length that it is. Thanks for watching!

Denis Hanjoul what's it like riding on the freeway? Is the wind tolerable?
@denishanjoul
@denishanjoul 7 жыл бұрын
Depends on how tall you are (I am 1.90m (6'3")) and on the distance you're doing. For long stretches at +120kph (+75mph) I would recommend a screen for your own comfort. I've ridden with and without a screen for a certain period of time and prefer the screen, even though it compromises the look of the bike a bit in my opinion. I have a Dart Manta Flyscreen (dark tint) installed. Does a good job and makes cruising at 140kmp (90mph) no issue.
@JH-di3nu
@JH-di3nu 7 жыл бұрын
Denis Hanjoul thanks for your input, that's really helpful. I'm 6'4" and was wondering if there were any windscreens that would help for tall riders. I'll definitely consider the one you mentioned. Thanks again!

Denis Hanjoul I was thinking of getting it as my first bike as well with no prior experience. So did you think it was a good decision?
@denishanjoul
@denishanjoul 7 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Engine is super smooth, plenty of mid range power. Throttle can be snappy, but it all depends on how you modulate it. But since I use the bike for my commute to work (which is 95% highway use), I am considering swapping it for the 700 Tracer. Just because that bike is a little bit bigger and offers more wind protection.

I picked up a 2016 FZ07 back in October. I'm loving it so far. I use it to commute to work year round here in Northern VA and back road riding on the weekends. Very light, nimble, and plenty of torque. It's probably not the best for touring, but then that is not what it was designed for. This bike sounds pretty good once you put an aftermarket exhaust on it. Otherwise it is pretty quiet. I think this is an excellent bike for the price. Good vid by the way!

Nick5220 - you can do stupid stuff on a harley too. Being 16 you may have not realized the grass is greener effect. Throw an S&S big bore kit on if you've got an 883, really wakes it up without blowing insurance through the roof. Fz 07 had insurance as expensive as much bigger bikes (for an older experienced rider) due to newbie squids crashing them doing wheelies...probably. 50 horses is better for new riders than 75.

Can confirm, wind protection is garbage and it makes freeway riding suck. Can also confirm that this bike taught me how to wheelie because of its weight/torque delivery/wheelie-friendly geometry. Your first ride on it back in 2014 was the final determining factor in the end. If I did everything all over again knowing what I know today, I would very likely still end up getting the FZ-07. It's just too much fun!

I have the Australian learner apporved version of the FZ 07 (MT 07), and it's had ABS since 2015. I have the 2016 ABS MT 07 in Race Blue and Silver as a first bike. Excellent bike, has butt loads of torque and power, even for a de-tuned and bored down (655cc) engine. In my opinion, it doesn't need modes (even the "high output"), it doesn't have quite enough power for it, but it still scares the shit out of you if you chop the throttle accidently.

I wish they come stock with a short little wind screen like the street triple r. at least they are easy to add. I also wish that 4th and 5th were lower geared so there was less spacing between third, fourth, and fifth to help keep the punchiness. you only need one gear for overdrive for cruising on the highway after all

Great Review! You really nailed the bike for what it is. It is indeed an outstanding motorcycle. Except IMO. I would only recommend this bike as a first bike on a case by case basis.

Thanks for your insight on this Yamaha. Would this bike be ideal for a shorter rider, around 5'6"? I'm looking to start riding soon, so I want to get this one if you think it would be ideal for a first time rider. If you don't think this one is right height wise, what would you recommend that is similar to this bike? Thanks in advance for your input.

Chase just wondering, if someone ever buys you something that isn't the color red what do you do? Do you just tell them you can't accept it, or do you take it but then go home and immediately dye/paint it?

I bought my fz as a first bike. I’m a pretty good rider. Barley any chicken strips, I shift in wheelies, carving canyons... yet every time I ride I learn something new especially in the corners. No need for more until I’m pushing harder than the bike can handle. Would recommend

I noticed something when I hit that 1,000km (600m) mark, there was just gobs of more power on the 2017 MT-07 ABS. The front end would lift with just a little flick of the wrist in second gear.
