Awesome clip. Also the standard socket is useful for using a pump in flat or low pressure tyres as they’re not USB powered Your clips are also handy just leaning how to pull the beast apart an back together again Thanks for your tips an lessons

I was looking for possibility, connecting my Tomtom. No USB connection, only cables. I will tap the power behind the socket. Finally I know how to get there! Thank you mate👍🏻

Where did you buy it? I saw someone post an eBay link but that didn’t work anymore…

Again, I have done this mod with a USB / voltage monitor socket. I much prefer the clean look and feel rather than an adapter plugged in to the original socket. No chance of it coming loose unlike the adapter.

Did you ever have any problems with the USB after you installed it? I bought one and I want to install it but my friend said it might not be reliable and that I should just use a USB Plug instead. Please let me know. Thank you, Ernest

Did you notice any lose of heat on the heated grips after installing the usb ? On my xsr700 (mt07) after installing the usb and oem grip heater on the 12V socket I noticed that it wasn't as warm as before
@RichieIsf7 жыл бұрын
Dadoo, Cheers for watching and your reply. Personally ,No i haven't noticed much if any heat drop from the heated grips since installing the USB outlet. perhaps check out my heated grips video and change the output of your grips. Just check how they are connected to your bike first , my grips are directly connected to battery and run their own inline fuse.

Richies Bikes . I just plugged it to the battery directly It works perfectly now Thanks

Thank Richie for another excellent video. Why not just use a USB adaptor? They plug straight in.

Great video Richie. I have done the same as this on my last few bikes, as I have found that standard cigarette adapter plugs vibrate out of the socket on motorcycles.
