I took them straight from the owner's manual - if you go to 5:43 in the video I show the torque specs in the book 👍🏻

The signals on the bike when I made this video were installed by the previous owner, however here's the link for the halo turn signals I installed: tstindustries.com/tst-halo-gtr-front-led-flushmount-turn-signals-2015-yamaha-r3.html Just make sure to add an aftermarket relay if you install LED signals so that the flash rate is correct! TST also sells a plug and play relay as well

If you have a torque wrench, I'd recommend doing it. If you over-tighten a bolt, you could damage the threads or snap the head off. Under-tighten and you risk the bolt coming loose. If you don't have a torque wrench, places like AutoZone will loan them for free, but you might as well buy one if you plan to do any other work in the future.

I'd imagine most dealerships carry sliders because dealers make lots of money in markups on accessories and parts. That said, I bought these on amazon. If you get into an accident, Shogun will replace the damaged sliders for free (ask me how I know lol)

Man, you really did things by the book bro! I used a socked with an extension in 8mm and that was all I needed lol. They were tight and secure, so that checks out as being "fine". Why use multiple tools when you can use one since it's literally a single bolt just connecting the sliders onto each side? Haha...just like when I was told about having to have a certain pound of torque for my sparkplugs, meh....it's fiiiine, they all are equal in tightness (from what I can tell from feel) and my bike runs perfectly fine. I didn't need any unnecessary torque wrench, that's all a bunch of phooey lol...I don't believe in things needing a certain amount (pounds) of torque. Psh, if it works, it's sturdy and doesn't cause any problems then obviously there is no issue. I remember when I installed them initially, I watched this video...I was writing down what I needed. I listened with the pen in my hand as you mentioned stuff (while nodding my head hearing "this will help...." thinking, "ok what is the actual size of the bolt piece I need to remove/reinstall it nothing else matters), so once I heard 8mm hex allen socket and finally wrote something down. I heard something about a torque wrench after but shrugged and went my usual route of "eh torque wrenches are more of a suggestion for doing mods" lol. I seriously have NEVER used a torque wrench on my bikes when installing parts and have never had an issue because of it haha. The only time I used a torque wrench was back when I cared about having a nice modded out car (GTI). Too much trouble to get a torque wrench and they're too expensive, this isn't early 2000's Autozone where you could just rent tools all day long for free haha (my buddies and I have a V-Dub club in early 2000's and would ALWAYS rent out part to do our work on our cars...especially that fucking PROPRIETARY oil filter attachment.) My thought is... If they meant for me to use a torque wrench ever then some of my after market parts would have come with it, so I don't need one ever.
