That little snippet from Snetterton at the end is killer. Funny now, as we know everything was ok with you and Kawasaki. That section of the track is a teeth gritter for sure.

Nice vid Chops. The XSR900GP is a stunning looking bike & is a decent enough track tool as well supposedly. Although, wouldn't know myself but regardless, it's too nice to potentially bin on a track day imo. However, either way, I think the R9 will be quite a bit sharper, as it should be. Very much looking forward to your review of it as well.

XSR900 GP is a nice machine, I will be changing from my MT-09 SP gen 4 to the R9. Wonder if the R9 is just one model or if there will be an M version down the line.

They make a body Kit in the UK to make an XS-900 to look like a 1984 Yamaha RZ-350 in USA LC-350 in other countries with different body work

xsr 900 GP is the road version of the R9. R9 is the track version of the 900 GP.

On my shopping list for next year, along with the R9. The comments on the feel of stock brakes on a lot of the Yamahas does concern me! However, I want something more of a road bike to be used for track days.

I have the naked version and the front brake is very strong and comes on quick. The rear works but lacks a bit of feel

@@Mike_P646 Yes, but I would prefer the riding position of the XSR GP overall, and lots of the new Yamaha bikes seem to get the same wooden feeling brakes comment. If it was mainly for track use, it would obviously be the R9.

Almost an R9? 1) Different brakes 2) Different suspension 3) Different Frame 4) Different swingarm 5) Different Sub-frame 6) Different controls In fact, the only thing the same is probably the engine. It isn't even close to an R9
