Definitely going to keep an eye out and see how you do this i have a Yamaha warrior 350 that has been amazing but last year the wiring shorted and completely and i couldn't revive it and i would love to do this kind of swap on it

Great Project !!! Can't wait to see the end result. That Raptor 250 is SET UP already pretty well too! Hipers, Arms, shocks, etc, This would be a sick MX machine. I'm on the hunt for a Raptor 250 or Blaster to put together for my son as a next project

Looking forward to seeing the end result! That thing should be a blast to ride. If you hadn’t already, I would plan on gusseting that frame. Those frames are known for breaking and bending when they’re stock, let alone with that engine lol.

@@dadspeed227 yeah we figured it out too but it was the hard way lol. Clipped a tree and bent the nose of the frame over about 5-8 degrees. It was pretty bad.

You forgot about the 250x,Mojave 250 ,blaster and 300ex were around before the 250ex.

Yes! I have seen a few yz250 powered quads on KZbin, and while I'm sure that would be awesome, I have never actually seen a 125 2 stroke quad anywhere. 85's and 250's sure, but not a 125. Also with it being a smaller machine, I wanted to kind of keep it "underpowered" in a way. The idea was to imagine if Yamaha came out with a 2024 Blaster, if that makes sense.

The work on the Raptor has been REALLY slow, which I’m not stoked on. Up until a couple of weeks ago I seriously haven’t had any time to devote to working on it. BUT, things are back underway now, I’m going on a riding trip this week but In April I will have an update video out! 🤘🏻 thanks for watching!
