The exhaust sound of the YAMAHA RD350 2stroke twin cyldrs with a new expansion chambers is probably the nicest sound to ever come out of a motorcycle it's music to my ears.

Mark is a fearless rider with a fearless bike, wonderful, he sounds like an angry wasp when behind you ! A reg is 1963, as my first car was B reg 1964. If it's not 50 mph average speed cameras it's the police radar vans, really spoils the calmness of the countryside, I always get annoyed at Devils Bridge by selfish bike parking, anyway, glad to see the tea van open again, really great route and the weather turned out nice too.The little cafe to the right of the road is worth the stop, lovely elderly lady that does bacon and egg barms and tea in china cups, there is also a toilet on the other side of the road in a barn.

Wow 1963 I have trouble working out what year as the reg plates have changed so much over the years 😂 selfish parking yes, when I left a bike had blocked me in so couldn’t leave 😡 yes I’ve always said I will stop at the little cafe, nex5 time I’m alone I will for a cup of tea and a cake 🍰

Thankfully for this ride you had the quietest mt10 in the country so we could hear that crisp rd.

😂😂 thanks Josh, it has a decat link pipe and akra, but I adjusted the audio so you could pick up that RD sound 👍😉

Being a non-biker, interesting to see your perspective on the overtake considerations. We're about 3ft lower in a Caterham and a bit wider :) car, not the owner ;)

Great vid, know the roads well and Devils Bridge was a regular place to take the kids, lot of years ago now, back at the time when jumping off was a common sight. Your mates bike I think was a Thunderace might be wrong on that. I recall after it’s launch if it was indeed a Thunderace an episode of Top Gear when Jamie Whitmam took one on the track with Steve Berry on the pillion and scared him with screams and disbelief as he touched the mirrors down.

I used to ride my Honda CB 200 green painted tank to Devils bridge for a bacon butty from Kirby Stephen 40 years ago, bit quieter then, now me and the Mrs go in the car for the same now and again.

You still have that CB200 ? Worth a bit now 👍 thanks for watching 🙏

@@MOTOUK1 Hi, no unfortunately, I swapped it for a Yamaha scrambler bought in Sedbergh, and also bought a car, I took the Honda to central France in 1981 camping, loved that bike but family soon came along and never got back into road bikes, now wish I had it still.
@MOTOUK13 жыл бұрын
Wish i had kept all my old bikes too🤣 very happy with the mt10sp i have now, actually said to myself when i bought new 3 years ago i would keep this one and after 3 years its so good a bike i will. Camping in France would to do that this year but not in a covid time. Let’s see next year, a lot of summer trips planned in U.K. this year👍

Off subject a little. It would be good if you had the time to do a sort of mini documentary on the new wave of light, powerful and cheap Japanese bikes that shook the British establishment into changing the laws on bike cc size in 1983 The RD250LC They didn't want young 17 year olds riding a 100mph bike on L plates so set it to 125cc and 12 bhp (16 bhp for older bikes I think)
