@@Complexautist thanks for the support mate! Hope you’ll like your new sounds, I put a lot of energy into that pack. I use a cheap sm card reader from Amazon. It does the job!

Thanks for such a nice comment, Joris! My pleasure and I'm very curious to hear what you'll do with the RS in your new state of the art studio.
@Expectaz
@Expectaz Жыл бұрын
@@infiniteheight Already been creating some beats on the RS. I think I will sample them into the Akai Force for convenience. The loading times of the RS are better with the SCSI drive, but in no way compares to the modern SSD drives. The RS however is so good at resampling beats and get creative with the filters, lfo, beat repeat and loop remix/slicing functions. Awesome stuff
@infiniteheight
@infiniteheight Жыл бұрын
I agree. One of my favourite things about the RS is to turn it on and start making music instantly. Projects with lots of samples don't allow that. I only used resampling on one project because I wanted two separate delay times, but I'll maybe give it another go after what you say here.

@straightforwardAcidTechno

Not yet, but i'm thinking about it, meanwhile i'm getting familiar with it trough yur video's. Aw the MC909 yes you should ad one. its a beast that keeps on giving
@infiniteheight
@infiniteheight Жыл бұрын
@@straightforwardAcidTechno Yeah, I've used the MC-909 a bit and the sampler and synth are superior. It also has a more polished sound. The RS seems to have more sequencing tricks and overall more robust. It's a heavyweight title fight, though. In the middleweight there's the MC-505 vs the RM1x :D

Very interesting machine and way of creating a beat. Since I'm not very familiar with the RS7000 yet, are the drum sounds you used samples or are they synthesized by the RS with a kind of drum synthesis engine?
@infiniteheight
@infiniteheight Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for your comment. They are internal sounds on the RS. It has 63 or 64 drum kits that sound surprisingly good! If you're not put off by a bit of a vintage workflow, it has a pretty decent sampler as well. I don't use it much but when I do I'm always surprised by how good it sounds.

@@infiniteheight I have this thing, part of a trifecta to find a hardware sequencer.... do you use it mostly as a groovebox or sequencer? never learned to use it, its just gathering dust along with a mv8000 and a deluge, and a "broken" rm1x.... I cant seem to break to DAW chain its just so convenient...
@xisotopex
@xisotopex Жыл бұрын
@@infiniteheight could a whole song be built just using samples?
@infiniteheight
@infiniteheight Жыл бұрын
@@xisotopex I think it's good to ask oneself "why", and in your case why you'd want to break the DAW chain in the first place. Do you know the answer? It sounds like you have a killer combo with those three machines but a DAW will always be more convenient, if convenience is what you're after... Now, if you say "I want the RS because of the loop remix, or the MV because of its pads, etc...you have something that will push you to use the gear more, over the DAW. Re your other question: with the internal samples you can build a whole track and far more, have a look at my channel...in the four uploads prior to this one there are project files to download so that you can try it out in your machine. You can build tracks with your own samples as well, but in your case I think you got that covered with the MV. This answer got longer than expected. Hope it helps. Cheers, Sonny 👍
