Yamaha TW E7B Long Term Review | Truly Enjoyable After All This Time

I've enjoyed these earphones from the first day I heard them. They're not trying to be something else like every other earphones is. Everyone's gotten so caught up in trying to out do each other, but Yamaha, they do what they think is right and you can tell these are confident in what they do right out of the box. I missed using these for some time because my wife took them from me but they're finally back on my desk and boy, did I miss them!

I agree regarding the sound quality for classical music. I was impressed, esp given the degradation from Bluetooth. I got this for "free" as a gift for many years of service. It's not audiophile quality, but its design and tuning honor audiophile concepts. I tested using lossless recordings on the Adagio streaming service.

Snapped up a used pair in excellent condition for £70.00 very happy with them, very easy on the ear sound not shrill at all, handles sibilance excellently.

Hi Sudip, how is your experiance with Final ZE3000? I am using oppo air 3 pro. Highs sound bit sharp. Mids feels unnatural & hollow. sounds thin & lacks noteweight . I am looking for tws with either warm or neutral tuning .

@@Rohan_Kulkarni_ To me, it's the pinnacle of wireless audio! It sounds full, rich, wide, natural, and mellifluous! I couldn't find any flaw in it. It has the most perfectly "balanced" tuning of all the TWS that I've tested: it's neither warm nor sharp but perfectly balanced across the entire frequency range. Tonality and timber are superb, with good note weight in both male and female vocals. But hey, it's my assessment of it. Your experience may vary. For a more warm sound, look for Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless. Just beware that it may be too bassy for some music genres. For a neutral/flat sound, look for Shure Aonic 215 Gen 2; it is very expensive, but you won't regret paying for it: it is that good. And remember, if you're looking for a TWS primarily for listening to music, do NOT go for noise-cancelling ones. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 is somewhat good in this regard, but all of the others are not up to the mark: noise cancellation affects music badly, making it sound boxy and mechanical.

@@Rohan_Kulkarni_ Hi, Rohan! Unfortunately, my earlier reply to you is not visible. (Not posted or vanished, for some reason?! I dunno.) So I am replying to you again. I am delighted with the Final ZE3000! It is the endgame TWS for me. To me, it is perfect in every aspect - tonality, timber, soundstage, imaging, you name it. The most surprising to me is the scalability of this thing! It sounds ultra-large when required, e.g. while playing classical music. And it is also surprisingly well-rounded when I'm listening to music at low volumes. And all this is coming from a 6mm driver!! Kudos to the engineers at Final! Anyway, enough gushing. Now to get to the second part of your comment, my suggestion for a warm-sounding TWS would be the Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless. But remember that it can be too bassy for some soundtracks. For a neutral/flat tuning, go for the Shure Aonic 215 True Wireless Gen 2. It is an expensive one but totally worth the price. I'd say that for the price, go for the ZE3000, because though it is not totally neutral/flat, the slight emphasis on the bass and the mids will make an enjoyable listening experience.

Sadly, no. But I have hears the Sony's. They're certainly louder and more bass heavy. But I prefer the Yamaha for detail, stage and over all truness in music.

The few I like are the Earfun Air Pro 3, Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, Earfun Free Pro 3, JBL Live Pro 2, and JBL Live Beam 3. All different price segments, but they sound good in their segments and decent for calls. You can listen to their call quality in my reviews about them.

Hi would you suggest this Yamaha e7b at 8k or samsung buds2 pro at 10k. I am using samsung s23 and my old soundcore liberty air2 pros are not giving me satisfying audio output. My old lg g8x paired with liberty air2 pro was seriously good. I have heard buds2 pro and they sound good but idk about the yamaha.

I haven't tested the Samsung or soundcore ones you've mentioned, but the Yamaha, ideally, shouldn't be sold below 20k. It's a proper high-end set of earphones with audiophile grade sound, I feel. They're most likely clearing stock for a new model, and at this price, it's daylight robbery. Don't expect bloated bass from this. Detail and a true sound are what they've gone for with its tuning. Feel free to give my indepth review on it a look if you haven't already.

The E7B is their flagship product. It should be sold at 20k + but I think they're in the middle of clearing stock for newer products. Some viewers have mentioned that they've bought it for as low as 8k which is crazy. It's audiophile grade I'd say. Very true to tonal quality. Feel free to watch my in-depth review on it if you haven't already. If you can go for the E7B, I'd recommend it over the E3B for certain.

The E7B, any day. The E5B is a good intermediate compared to the E7B and E3B, but if you have the budget for the E7B, I'd highly recommend it. Very few audio gadgets speak to me, the E7B is one of the few.

They've got service centers around the country, but I think they initiate issues over a contact number and email. I haven't heard from any viewers about issues with Yamaha products just yet.

I haven't tested the Sony, Samsung, or even the Pixel buds Pro but considering you're using a Pixel phone, the Pixel buds will work best with it. Soundwise, I've found the E7B to be audiophile grade for a set of wireless earphones. Feel free to watch my in-depth review on it if you haven't already.

XM5 giving you BT issues? That very odd. Try doing a reset via the app and see if it helps. Perhaps an update is due too. I've found that a reset usually sorts these issues out. The Yamaha E7B is one of my favourite audio products for its sound. Very well tuned set, but it may not appeal to you since it won't be as bass enthusiastic as the XM5.

​ @PaulsPOV Thanks for the tips! By connection issues I mostly mean random cuts and glitches in sound even very close to the sending device. But also the double connection does not work well enough to be used which is one other problem. This is a 5 day old set, and I have already gone way overboard trying to make these work properly. I have tried with the original FW version 1.0.0, the newest version of 3.3.1 among other fixes and I only keep on finding more software issues. I have already contacted Sony and if they wont answer, I am returning these.

Oh, that's terrible! Yea, no point holding onto them if they have so many issues. As crazy as this sounds, when I have similar issues at my desk when testing products, I start switching off BT devices that aren't in use, which usually sorts out the cutting and dropping of audio. It's a hassle, but the only thing I've found that works.

It's not fair to compare the two of them. They both bring different experiences and joys in music listening. IEMs and TWS earphones are usually very different, but in this case, I do prefer the softness the E7B has in its sound. It's very well tuned.
