This video gave me the confidence to rebuild the carb which I’m having issues with running. Thank you.

I have a Yamaha v Star 650 it's been sitting in storage right about for six seven months I fired her up yesterday one cylinder is working the second one is not working the one that's not working I pulled out the spark plug cable and I can feel spark hitting my hand so I know that's not the problem it has to be the carburetor that's not shooting fuel into that cylinder it's twin carburetor what do you think

I have a tiny tiny o ring that I I think may have come out of the main jet but I can not tell where, Ive looked at the diagram but no luck. Would you happen to know anything about that? I think the interior diamater on it would be 2 mm, I just cant find where it came out of and the bikes not happy

Dude my dumbaz had the screw I thot set to 3.5 but I guess I can’t add correctly and I did 7 turns bc I confused a full rotation of the screw. I drove it like that for a year until I put pod filters and bigger jets. The second ride I flooded out and stalled it, would only run on choke but shut off after power applied. Check my AFmix screw and was shocked to find I f’ed up. Test drive was GREAT after omg. Does this sound correct lol ???

Thanks for the video brother👍 i have one question🤔 i bought a yamaha v star 650 a 2005 with only a thousand miles on it looks in good shape been siting for a long time in a garage and they left gas in the tank sitting for a few yrs now i had to clean out the tank and replace the fuel filter and pet cock and the bike started up but was pumping out gas on and off from a hose on the right side of the bike like an over flow line it's bellow the air filter in a green looking bracket close to the bottom of the bike. Trying to figure out what's making it do that🤔

Would a cracked intake boot cause bogging on full throttle ? I can’t accelerate past 60mph and bikes running lean. Half throttle sounds okay but full throttle sounds like an old tractor that’s screaming for help.front header pipe turning blue and motor running hot, backfire/popping under deacceleration.
@MidNebraskaMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
UHHHH yea. That is the definition of a cracked intake boot. STOP IMMEDIATELY running this thing 60 mph with a cracked intake boot. You are running dangerously lean and the bike could lock up at any point. Thanks for watching. Let us know if there is anything else you need! www.midnebraskamotorsports.com/

@@MidNebraskaMotorsports so I removed the intake boots and the inside doesn’t look cracked however when I spray carb cleaner when it’s running on idle the bike dies.?

that brass plug that goes where the needle jet is has broken off and the threads are still in the holder. will i need a new carb if i cant get that out?

Nah Brô. It's soft brass. Jus pikkûpp the appropriate-sized "reverse-flute" drill bit. You can get one specifically for removing brass but as long azû gain a familiarity with what they're for and how to use them û shld b fine. Tz RL easy. û jus gottabbe a bit delicate, more like jus mildly considerate, Eye would say. Take it slowly n don't jusgo tearing intoothee plug. Ease into it until it bytes n begins to unwind. 👍 Ûll be alright.
