[Profile of Mt. Koya Shingon Sect Azari Zensei Yamahira ]
Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1972, from a Zaike.
At the age of 15, he climbed Mt. Koya and became a monk when he entered high school.
He is said to be an unconventional priest, having joined a motorcycle gang while he was a monk.
After about 10 years of training at Mt. Koya, he became an ``Azari.''
Later, an independent temple of the Shingon sect was built.
Currently, he has multiple hats: chief priest, manager, and Reiki master.
The temple operates a temple where people gather and build relationships, such as by creating a rider's cafe within the temple grounds.
