Mine is a previous Gen and I average around 41MPG on the open road. About 38 city
@someguy9520 Жыл бұрын
@wingandhog thats quite good I see many that get more like 40mpg and less. Some even go to 33mpg and lower. Thats one of the reasons why I will not change my NT700 for a 1st gen GL1800. Yes. 25L tank. But at 40mpg and maybe worse with my riding style, it results in less range than my 19.7L and my 45-50mpg
@wingandhog Жыл бұрын
@@someguy9520 No doubt. I think the mileage results depends on how someone rides. On the open road, I usually clip along around 75-80mph and am not typically hard on my bike. Usually for most Wing owners, gas mileage is not a major consideration. Comfort and dependability is. But getting 45-50mpg is excellent for your bike which is also an excellent machine.
@someguy9520 Жыл бұрын
@wingandhog with the NT700, it kinda doesn't. If I baby it, i get my 4.7L/100km or 50mpg. If I constantly go on the highway with 160-170km/h or 100-105mph, i still get 5.6L/100km or 42mpg in the worst case On backroads, i don't go any faster than 60-80mph, I ride with a heavy right wrist, but i also use a lot of engine braking and ride with momentum I get that many don't care about the mileage, but paying between 6.8$/gal to 8$/gal is very expensive for 15,000 miles per year with that mileage. Dependability is ridiculous. Locally, they have 170.000miles and still charge 10.000$. The only bike I would change my Deauville for would be a 2018+ DCT Goldwing with all the options. All other bikes just don't offer all that much more from purely touring aspects, especially for the money. My NT700 cost me only 3700$
@wingandhog Жыл бұрын
