This is where I’m from. I’ve seen a few of these listings. Yeah there’s no shortage of questionable and decent GSXR’s around San Francisco. Pretty large biker communities out here tbh.

That 400 reminds me of an ad i just read on marketplace. Chick was trying to sell her 2024 R3 for 7500. 7500 on what planet? MSRP is 5499 before dealers' fees. And it would be NEW

If I could go back in time about 22 years, I would keep my ‘94 Yamaha Jog. Thing was a beast. Wheelies? No problem (but did replace several rear brake lights so I guess it was a bit of a problem). That thing tore off the line and would easily do 45 mph on flat ground and would peg well over 50mph with a slight downhill. It even beat other Yamaha Jogs lol. Here’s my theory. I bought it when I was 13 for $400 from a girl that had a crush on me (which is why I got a good deal), but her step-dad owned a Busa. I think he took off any “governor” or restriction of out the exhaust, because that thing screamed. We had a little suburban scooter gang, and no one could mess with my jog. RIP wherever you are you black and purple masterpiece!

I'd NEVER give more than a couple hundred for a moped/scooter. The only people who drive them here are people without a license. You can buy a decent motorcycle (even a Harley) for under 3k, and plenty in the 1.5k range.

Amigo is a US brand for scooters made in Xejiang, China by Zhongneng (ZNEN) they are sold in Britain as Lexmoto and elsewhere as BMS or other brands. The bike is probably OK as most of it will be copied from Honda designs. ZNEN also owns Moto Morini and make the 649 xcape adventures bike. I think the bike in the ad is probably an attempt at an adventure scooter, too small for USA really but OK for south east Asia where loads of people have 150ccs

Theres this cb650r on fb marketplace i really want but hes asking 9000 for it which is what it is brand new for one right off the showroom floor. And its only a year old and hes already put 5,000 miles on it. I want the bike but dude thinks hes gonna get what he payed for the bike. Hes out of his mind and anyone who does anything like that is also out of their mind. I can just go buy one brand new lol.
