The Ninja 650 engine is old enough to vote here in Australia. It's been around for 18 years & is in dire need of an upgrade. But, if you're a fan of the Green Machine & are in a market with restrictions on what a learner can ride, it's one only a couple of choices if you want maximum torque. And, unlike most of the competition, it's relatively easy to de-restrict the 650 for maximum power. The Ninja 250 had a 30 year life. I can see Kawasaki doing the same thing with the 650 & keeping it in the lineup well past it's use by date.

@davidnayce78852 ай бұрын
Freeway is definitely fine, as well. It has enough on-demand power to quickly pass vehicles/trucks to avoid falling into or escaping blind spots, regardless of what speed the flow of traffic is... and you won't even be close to redlining either, even if the 'flow of traffic' speed is pretty high.

I rode both the 400 and the 500. 400 is the little full sports bike. 500 is the daily when you’re in town often. That’s your choice. As someone who rode a super bike daily, I bought the 500, and WAAAAAY better than riding my Ducati race bike daily. It’s so much more fun on the grid in the city. I wanted a small nimble bike with good torque. This is exactly what I was looking for. A touring or cruiser is either too big, or wouldn’t be as flickable. A small dual sport has the torque, but you can’t hit the freeway with it, and still have a bunch of power, if you need to pass or get out of the way. This is really the ONLY option for the best small bike.

Ok so it does not have the gutsy engine or suspension of the KTM or the Aprilia, but heck overall is WAY superior. Just the Reliability factor over the Europeans (or Chinese or Indians) makes it so more superior long term, NO WORRIES. Long ago they learned that a maxed out engine won't have the same long term reliability (think KTM). So what do you do in many of these cases? You make it bigger than the competition (although they are already playing catch up). Witness the 636cc engine and also the ZX-14. Yes the Chinese are coming, and with a lot of content on their bikes plus style to boot, but the jury is still out. What would be perfect would be a new variant with brand name components in the areas of braking, suspension and racier tires.

I bought the 500 over the 650. I didnt really feel like the extra cash was going to give me a better bike for what I wanted. To me it just seemed like a slightly faster and larger version of the same bike, and i felt the 500 kind of nailed all the features in the price point for me for whats available where I live. I rode a friends 650 before purchasing the 500. And im really happy with the decision. I was dead set on getting a 650 at the time. But the 500 legit just felt nicer sitting on it. I wasnt able to actually test ride it. It just felt more comfortable to me in the showroom. At first I questioned myself cause I actually followed the break in procedure. But once that was done it was like a whole new bike. And i love the bike. its More than enough for anything I want or will ever do with it. That all being said I do REALLY want to try a zx4rr. Started on and still own a 2005 ninja 250 and I may be shallow but the 180 parallel twin sound disgusts me. It just sounds too much like a go kart until you're in the upper RPM range. I tested the 400 when it came out and did like it but I hated the sound. However after having in my garage at one point or another (600 shadow; 1100 Sabre; speed triple; 250ninja) and after riding other bikes (old R1; zx-6r; Ducati super sport s; ninja 650) I'm old enough to know it's stupid to get a zx-6r just for the sound....BUUUTTT....the MT-10 as ugly as it is, sounds amazing lol.

Im tired of false advertisement of motorcycles. Its a In Ninja 450. 😑 Stop stroking your ego by adding half an inch. It will never be a 500. This is why i will not buy anything from Kawasaki. If they gonna lie on the name. They will lie about alot more. Im buying from that brand that actually tells you the size in the name without trying to scam you. 😁

To answer your question of course you're full of crap. It's some of what I enjoy about your videos, the other part being actually useful information.

Thumbs down here. You're just doing this to try and sell tickets to give it away. The 400 and 500 are redundant. They need to make a 600 triple :-)

Should have been the ninja 450 and made it cross plane. It sounds like a sewing machine and boring.
