Hi Jordan. Your videos helped me out so, so much the last few weeks. Had a massive panic attack on the 3rd of January. A great way to ring in the new year! 😂 Releasing bodily tension, and thus mental tension, plus attacking the roots of my stressors in life, (aka facing my fears head on), plus NOT being a people pleaser anymore are the cornerstones of recovery! Thank you so much, man. Looking back, I’m actually happy that it happened. It showed me the lie that I was living. Now I am conducting a complete 180 in my life thanks to your videos. Follow your TRUTH, people!

When it first happened to me, it was so terrifying and debilitating that I couldn’t eat or sleep, and was either in a state of prolonged panic attack or complete, losing-hours dissociation. About a year into that unrelenting nightmare, I discovered alcohol. Suddenly I could eat, sleep, and get a break from the panic. I started drinking heavily out of nowhere, alone, every day. 10 years later it’s still an issue. I can’t find anything on DP/DR and addiction. I would love to see you cover this. Thanks for what you do. ❤

You don’t talk much about hearing issues with DPDR. Can your hearing be affected by it? I notice I’m sensitive to noise and I’m startled by certain ones.

Hey Jordan, question for you, i love the gym, its a part of my life now. It seems to help me with interoception, however ive been consistant in going for a year and a half now i still seem stuck in the same cycle. Do you think the gym is a good thing? Or does it put more stress on my body and my nervous system then i should have with DPDR?

I tell my clients to hold off on the gym for now unless it’s cardio.

Jordan i have one question: my dpdr started since 15 months (after a panik attack), now the dpdr symptoms are better but i feel a lot more anxiety in body and brainfog/dizzines, is this a recovery process? Thank you 🙏

Hey! It can be for sure. Sometimes getting out of trauma and Dpdr will temporarily induce more anxiety since you’re not as numb.

Are you a Believer by chance?…. For years I would either take a shower (privacy) or even drive somewhere (alone in the car) and I would pray…essentially I would do self deliverance prayers. Sometimes It helped so much I could literally feel it. Idk if you have any experience with deliverance… but you can experience yawning, eye watering, burping, sometimes shaking… it’s fascinating when I think about it now after years of learning.. like the difference in emotional and other types of tears , and the way the nervous system responds, etc etc etc..essentially deliverance is different ways the nervous system regulates … pretty cool. I’m not 100% and my story is too long to read even if I try to be brief…even though I’d love to because I’ve experienced some crazy things that nobody would believe except everyone here lol, but I’m MUCH better than I was years ago. But I am able to function now and feel 90-95% maybe… the last bit of my struggle is not going to get better until I separate from my husband unfortunately. Thats because I now finally understand that I’ve been dealing with Cptsd complex trauma my entire life due to Narcissistic Abuse. (Mom, first and current husband of 23+ years) THAT was/is my “trigger” . Ongoing emotional toxicity and lacking control over myself…but feeling “stuck” and losing myself and my mind. No kidding, narcissistic abuse LITERALLY causes brain damage…Good luck to you! I empathize with everyone going through this ❤️‍🩹

Hey Jordan did you or your clients ever feel more depersonalised or numb after releasing tension in the body.
@coachjordanhardgrave

Not usually but every now and then. What’s more common is temporarily experiencing more negative emotion and fatigue because they are getting back in tune with their body. But that’s part of healing, feeling.

Can brain paws from opioids cause this. I have been sober 4 months after 18 months of pills. I stopped cold turkey and I wake up crazy panic attacks and 4-5 a day. I feel like I don’t know who I am. I completely disconnected and feel like I’m in a dream. I feel like I’m losing my mind.

Can derealization cause burning sensations ? Also can derealization can chronic stress ?
@coachjordanhardgrave

Hey! So there would be separate symptoms as far as dr. Vs. burning sensations. And as to your second question derealization happens due to overwhelming stress (trauma state)
