I remember at the start of the year, the Yanks were PESTS to starting pitchers. They saw so many pitches and were forcing the bullpen to come into play super early. I hope they can tap into that to some extent and wear the pitching down. Lots of quick, easy outs as of late.

Hadn't thought about that in a while, but you're right. The lineup looked BRUTAL to pitch against in the beginning of the season That being said, I think aggression might not be bad against Cleveland. Yeah, it's always good to wear out their starters, which will in-turn wear out the bullpen in a 7 game series. But of course, Cleveland still has the best bullpen in baseball. I think it's key for us to get to their starters and get an early lead, so I wouldn't sacrifice aggression for the sake of wearing down starters.

None of the series we have played against them have been easy not once. in 2017 we had to scratch through an 0-2 start and in 22 we came back 1-2 this is the most even matched games I think in the playoffs

You guys have to take into consideration the routine of the starting rotation. Rodon must start as he has too much rest. Cole is on normal rest. If Rodan can get his pitches to work he will be umhittable . He has to keep his cool. Cole is Cole. Schmidt through 2 times of the order is great. He can't go thru 3. The bullpen has given up 0 runs in 14 innings. Lights out. Wells must be moved to 5 so Stanton should be cleanup.

@@kelliea4213 Yes . But Skubal played his game with other factors as not facing the Yankees Lineup with strike fear in starting pitching. The Dodgers do scare me but NO PITCHING. Starting pitching will allow to score early. What is there a slight penalty to teams that win the division. You can stop playing for 8 days. The hitters timing goes & too much rest for the starters. Now this is corrected. To my point Rodon has not pitched his game yet. He could be masterful. Cole on regular rest. There path to a world champion. Let's go Yankees.

@@95Ldunc I could be wrong, but I believe that was due more to fatigue (tired arm) than anything else, cause this is the same kid who was FILTHY in the first half of the season, really OUR ACE the first two months when Cole was down, so he kind of saved our season, but he threw way more innings this year than ever before, and it showed down the stretch. That said, now that he's coming off such a long layoff, I would feel better about a RESTED GIL than Rodon whom I just don't trust. If one of the two is going to DOMINATE a lineup, IMO it's a rested Gil, not Rodon who has a penchant for imploding. JMO

If Jazz simply doesn't get OB, his speed & stealing threat becomes 0️⃣‼️ Unlike the LF situation where Verdugo's defense is the starting factor, at 3B it's clearly not. Boone can't "trust his players" to a loss due to lack of action. In comparison, the Dodgers are making a ton of replacements/game, and they seem to be having success with them.

Rodon needs to have the SHORTEST hook in game 1. He is Mr. Blowup inning. We don't have to wait until he gives up 4 or 5 runs in one inning, we don't need him to "work himself out of trouble," if he gives up a 2 run homer and walks a guy his day needs to be done. Cannot be down 3+ runs because of one bad inning vs this guardians bullpen.
