@@EaglesInHD 💯 Back in 2014 and 2015, when the Royals came within 90 feet of winning back2back World Series, it seemed like Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas couldn’t wait to leave KC for greener pastures. The Royals offered Hosmer a very competitive offer, but he turned it down to head to San Diego. KC apparently wasn’t quite good enough for them. As it turned out Hosmer’s and “Moose’s” careers peaked in KC, and they fizzled. Both are now out of MLB in just their mid-30s. But JUST LIKE PATRICK MAHOMES, Bobby Witt said EMPATHETICLY, “KC is plenty good for me! Let’s play ball…..for many years to come in KC!” I actually still like Hosmer. But if KC is good enough for arguably the biggest sports star in the entire country (Mahomes), I sometimes wonder what the issue was for those other two. I will say….in Hosmer’s defense, he grew up in Miami, so maybe he missed being able to head for that ocean scenery….in all seriousness. This is Big 12 country, and Mahomes played for a Big 12 team (Texas Tech). So he’s sort of more accustomed to our “culture” I suppose.

Oh yea! The Royals really hit Homes hard, didn't they? Rizzo being half crippled, didn't charge the ball early so that Holmes would know to head immediately to first base as quick as possible. Did I mention it was a squibbler? Even with that, Holmes induced the last hitter to hit a basic groundball to 3rd and had DJ been positioned to protect the line, which even 'Little Leaguers' are taught to do, the game would have ended with us winning. Prior to that, Holmes induced a simple fly out and a 'punch n' judy' single to center, that's all !

Great job by Marsh and the Royals for getting the win. Gotta love KC's skipper, Q as he's so passionate and has his players backs. After squandering that 2-0 lead, last year's Royals team would have completely imploded and lose badly. However, this year's team is special and these guys didn't fold and battled back to get a sweet walk off win. This Royals team is special and the playoffs will be calling for them in October

Who played very good, didn't charge the ball in the bottom of the 9th when Holmes was bout 2 be on first. Holmes does have base runners alot but has been great this year. They won 3 outta 4 on the road and came back but they won the series. They definitely need a few arms in the bullpen. What happened 2 Efross and Trivino??? They have been our 4 like 1 year plus . Loiasiga is out 4 the year.

Why blame him for inducing a basic groundball to 3rd which should have ended the game? It's not his fault DJ was not positioned to protect the line at that point in the game, for even 'Little Leaguers' know that. Boone, his coaches, and DJ himself are all at fault but Boone is the manager and should be called out on this.

Holmes got the last hitter to hit a basic grounder but DJ, Boone, and the other coaches were to blame for not having DJ positioned near the bag, for had he been, the game would have ended with a basic groundball out. Boone has to be lambasted for this idiocy since he is the manager.

Wrong . Both hits were hard hit balls . Other than that play at first . Holmes was getting hit hard all inning . The first out was a hard hit fly ball to the of , the next batter hit another ball hard that was barely foul . Holmes looked bad that entire inning . Kept getting ahead of the batters but had a hard time finishing them off .

KC fan (at least my wife is) but the Royals looked completely overmatched in this series. Reminded me of a cartoon I saw once. This little kid comes dejectedly into the house with his bat and glove. Mom asks, "How did the game go, sweetie"? The kid says, We were winning until the big kids got out of school'. KC should have a much easier time with the Dodgers.

How can DJ not be positioned so that nothing gets by him down the line with two out in the ninth? Not even 'Little Leaguers' would be this dumb. Had he been positioned properly, it would have been a basic ground out to end the game. This falls mainly on Boone, but his coaches and DJ himself should have known better as well.

This was the worse game of ours I've seen so far this season. We all know Boone wasted his challenge on that easy safe call slide at 1st, and therefore wasn't able to capitalize with a challenge on the legitimate balk when it really mattered. Then when they got the runner on 1st in the 9th, I could feel a momentum shift even on the field on the Yankees faces, then with whatever great pitch Holmsey threw... I guess with the great team that we do have, we'll have another chance to win 9 straight road games this season.
