When Yappy mention more deer heads on the wall. Kinsey had a look like (HELL NO!). That's one thing I don't care for is the deer in the bedroom.

You’ve made your tiny home so cute !! You were talking about the sink .. get a plastic tote to use your wash or rinse water in ! That way you can have both sections , and put it away after if you want to ! A lot of people with farm sinks do that ! Thanks for the update ! Best wishes to you both !!

Definitely agree think it's the most suitable and sensible option if you own the land once you got it uougot it and it gives you lots of options and can do it as and when your in the position too rather than taking up loads of money or debt at this worldwide uncertain times you can live on the land in a trailer a small home and build what you can or would like to when ever your able I live in the UK land to build on is especially costly and you can't just do what you wish on land you buy there no guarantee you would even be able to build on or even live on that land us seems like you haveore freedom and Definitely more land available and affordable I would love to Mill timber off my own land and build in my own time and style I envy you go for it and hope it works put well for you

We are incredibly indecisive on style, and size of our home, AND the economy holding us back, like you had mentioned. We’ve got the 20 acres secured! But need a home that’s not my parents guest bedroom, lol 🥴 This is a PERFECT! Solution for us. When it’s time to build the forever home, we’ve got a studio/guest house with carport, detached from home. Tysm for sharing your tiny home! I’m so excited, I’m ready to wake my partner up and show him this!!!!

Love how you talk about 'tiny home/house'....in Europe you have complete appartments which are smaller than your tiny house and that's not something really strange especially in the bigger towns it's normal. But I love what you guys did with they space! good luck with making the big decisions.

Don't let these types of videos mislead you. Here in the United States most of us who live in apartments have less space than what they have there too. I'm not even sure why they're calling that a "tiny home". It's just a standard apartment. In fact it's a lot better in many ways because they have outdoor space.

This is a wonderful perfect tiny house, the Bathroom is in the right place, the upstairs looks beautiful but those deers no way poor them, that would be the last thing I would put on display, but kitchen, bedroom and living room looks amazing love it.. the little area area with all the yunk like you say, I would fix a tool big metal box outside and put all that outside, and in that area put a long lamp with a greeting plant and a little corner sofa chair it would look nice.. it’s the first thing that came to mind when I say that area. The rest is perfect beautiful!!

Hello Yap Fam 🥰, You talked about the what-if we…….. so if you want advice, this is what you could do: Built-ins are essentially the way tiny works the best. You could make your bed lift for large storage, or storage built into your couch. You could put up a large freestanding armoire at the end of you bed area or tall wall open on both sides for a closet. You could make your office space into a composting toilet area. If Kinsey gets pregnant, you both won’t want her up and down the stair. Who, and by the way….. The place looks great! P.S. Living tiny until you need larger space (ie. kids) you can get ahead by saving money, freedom from yard and house upkeep, and interest rates will change. Enjoy your freedom…..

Not having that stress of having to find a place in a short amount of time has got to be a great feeling. Don't settle for something like a lot of us have done because you will regret it. You both have a great livable space which allows you to find that diamond in the ruff! Keep up the great work! the place looks amazing! You both did a great job making that small space look much larger! I agree with the toilet upstairs.. Hopefully the pluming work isn't going to be a PITA!!! Great Job!!!

I think with the way the market is going you should wait. I also think you should buy the land near your dads place. With out seeing it. Because when you get the loan to build you can build it the way you want and you will not have to worry about HOA fees. Those are more headaches than they are worth. And you have more freedom with out. And after you build you can always add on to your property. So stay there in your tiny home while you build your first real big home. That would be cheaper. I loved the way your tiny home looks it came out amazing! If you to came up with all that then just think about how amazing your first big home with turn out if you both are designing it together. You two have been on an amazing journey so far this will be the next huge stepping stone to the next chapter of your lives. Loved the videos. Keep it up! No slacking. I loved your little boat videos to. Thx.

Hey kitchen sink wise.... I grew up in a house built in 1882... no dishwasher, farm house sink, all you need is like a camping bucket for your soapy water for hand washing. And rinse on the side. :)

Nice build with many good ideas. I agree every floor needs a bathroom of some sort. Also, Enclosing the entrance storage area with walls will allow shelving systems, racks and limit the messy factor. Where you enter the house, can you find space for a bench with shoe storage under? Or the IKEA narrow closed shoe storage racks that fit on the wall. Coat and hat hooks on the wall. I live in a 954 sq foot condo, 2 beds/2 baths…a large walk in closet, a hall pantry closet, and another bedroom closet. Honestly, planned storage for clothes, linens, luggage, shoes, etc are the key to maximizing utilization of space. Under bed storage is great for bedding, seasonal stuff and even extra dry goods In low bins…highboy dressers give you the most storage for the square footage used. Lots of YT videos out there on these ideas. You can also add garage style closed storage for any items not effected by temperature in the carport area…if you have enough room for it. Blessings and good wishes!❤

Your home is so nice and cosy. My advice is to consider buying the land around your home, keep it all in the family so your children and their children can always have land security. If children are in the immediate future they don’t need a lot of room for at least a year or two, and your dads home is right there anyway.

This is the first time I have seen your tiny home. It’s beautiful. You guys did a beautiful job. I really like your living area open to your bedroom area. I also love your kitchen space and your automobile parking spots below your upstairs! It’s nice to see a walk in space when you come in where you can have a coat rack, shoe mat . Better to keep downstairs rather than bringing it all up. What about adding a ceiling fan upstairs? Circulate the air in warmer weather? Good luck to you when you do find that special home or time to build on the same property. Smart in living simply like this to keep utilities and mortgage low.

Those plants are hard to kill and easy to split to multiply. Can take all sorts of light conditions. I believe it's on the list of plants that are good for purifying the air of small places. If you cut or accidentally break a leaf just stick it in the soil and some water and it will root and grow. Called a snake plant or sometimes mother's tongue.

I can't believe it's been 6 months. The place looks great. Agree about needing window coverings and a rug next to the bed. Don't overdo the deer heads... it's not a hunting lodge. 😂 My personal opinion would be to buy the land and build your forever home. An excellent investment. Even better than just buying a house. I know it's hard, but try to be patient. You won't regret it. 👍❤️

You can go get a plastic square rubber tote use it for soapy water for dishes, for down stairs they make pantry tall cabinets with door you can put there and have adjustable sleeves , no will see that inside. Alway look at lowes or Home Depot look at garage storage cabinets. Get a custom taller stove with wider oven and use old one for outside cooking.

wait and build. stay there till you have enough money to buy the land and pour a basement. once the basement is poured get electric ran under ground so you run the power to the basement. then build a tiny home in the basement with a floor and roof that can seperate at the trusses so you can take it apart in quarters or half. then you can live in the basement while constructing the house building sections of the house at a time. build the outer walls and inner studs and when your ready lift the roof. piece the walls together for the first floor get them secure and put the roof on that. the first floor can be thrown together in a day and topped if you have everything done before hand. while living in the basement. then you can run your electrical and plumbing at your own pace with everything all paid off. no mortgage or rent just utilities and taxes. putting all your extra $ into the expenses.

You should definitely buy now while the rates are higher because its keeping the competion of other buyers down and Fannie Mae is predicting rates will drop to about 4 1/2% in 2023 and when that happens then the competition will return making demand and prices higher and properties harder to win. Buy now and refi later when rates drop.

Nice lil home ya got there. My husband & i lived in a garage converted into a VERY small home. It was just right for us at the time(1985) Bought our 1st home in 1986 after our son was born. Clean, organized, and actually spacious for the layout. You mentioned that you're currently looking for a new home, or land, but in no hurry also. Just my opinion, but I'd hold off right now. The way interest rates are moving............ I was actually surprised the other day. I got a letter from my bank offering me "An in creditable" refinance offer. To go from 4% to a new 7.75% loan.......... UM............. LOL So yeah, don't go jumping into anything you don't need to I'd say.

Keep in mind that to receive a construction loan to begin building on land, your land must be completely paid off. That being said, I still think the land is the better investment. I would stay in the tiny home for several years and aggressively pay as much as you can on your land. It’s definitely a long term plan though and I totally understand the urge to forgo the land, just get a mortgage no matter how crazy the interest rate and be able to live in a bigger home right away. You will do what’s best for you!

As young as you are save your money get down a huge amount and or enough where you can 100 % payed land and a down payment for house to be build, than it won’t take you 30 years to pay it off. Hint if you buy the land right out never lock the land into the house. Because if something happen bank will only take house not the land, and bank will have to pay to move house. Most the the want like doing that so they will give a cheaper price to stay at home or it your land and for every day the house is on your land , you can charge the bank rent fees every day the house is sitting on your land. Don’t let them tell you you have to type land into house for it to be build you don’t. Do your research banks will try to screw you since your young and they think they can because you know nothing about how bank loans work. Good luck.
