Nice job on the skid modification Bruce. That should help running over gravel. Happy to see you at work!

Thanks for the idea. I have a gravel driveway too. 😃

Nice job Bruce. I find I don't weld enough these days to stay proficient but can usually be laying some presentable beads by the time the project is finished. Your widened shoes turned out great. Now I feel guilty and need to change the oil and fill the tires in my neglected old snow blower. Every year I neglect it and it's never let me down once in about 14 years. I should do better by it, I owe it. Thanks for the video and take care

@robertblacksmith4355 Scotland has been in need of one for a week! Half the time it’s not even rain it’s just wet air 😂👍

Nice job Bruce. I used to weld off camera too but with an older Sony camcorder I have been getting careless about that the last year or two and been getting away with it, no problems yet with the camera. Last video I did just a couple days ago was on a welder review that was sent to me and I welded about 3 or 4 feet away, even zoomed in a little and didn't hurt the camera. I'm seriously planning to rig an auto darkening hood to a camera mount soon because I do welding videos frequently.

Thanks for the upload Bruce I was bored shitless there trying to find something to watch, you know I’m in Scotland I’ve never been up close with a snowblower so I now know they’ve got skids 👍. Big machine that, good job they’re sturdy enough, love the welding accessory box I’ve been trying to organise stuff like that for years, maybe one day lol 👍
@BrucesShop22 сағат бұрын
Right. That box has evolved over time.

To me it looks like a mtd built machine if so the scraper curves up onto side. I would put skids on back holes to sturdy it up more. Those buckets are not real strong. Paint stick under scraper good spacing. I also do skid repair. Good video
@BrucesShop22 сағат бұрын
Thanks. If I put them much further back I ran into another bolt. Hard to describe.

Well I need practice. It seems like I just get back to where I left on on the welding quality thing.

Nice weld and fabrication on the snow skids. I recently replaced mine with the polymer type because the steel ones wore down and I don't weld,,,,,, yet. I still have time to learn. Lol
@mikeyyoyo6464Күн бұрын
@len4338 horizontal welding is easy as long as you don’t need a perfect finish, it’s when it gets vertical or heaven forbid overhead that it grows arms and legs , buy a cheapo and fart about you’ll love it lol 👍

With the front augers , I oil these with out the pins to keep them spinning loose on the shaft if there is no grease nipple .

Have you tried ATF automatic transmission fluid in a leaking tire, I know it doesn't work on a tire with a hole in it from like a nail, but it does work well with a dry rotted tire, or a bead leaker?
@BrucesShop23 сағат бұрын
Yes. But not a snowblower. I put some in my lawn tractor and when I turned firmly, I rolled out of the tire and rim. So now I have a slime bottle with half full of trans fluid. Thanks. I may try again.

Hey Bruce, Welding arcs don't transfer through camera lenses to tv..So although bright to the viewer, There is no harm to them watching it on tv...In person is another matter.
