Would the Squad Commander not have made 8 tokens? It makes 1 for each creature in your party on ETB, which should then be doubled by the Primal Vigor (about 5:30 minutes in the video) Edit: later on it looks like Max did make the right number of Warriors, since he blocked all the cats. Sweet!
@danriemer97243 жыл бұрын
An interesting line came up around the 21:00 mark. I think it was questionable for Max to swing lethal at Nick and Martin. Max had Nick’s Yasharn, which was about the only thing threatening to Andrew. The lethal attack forced action from Nick or Martin, but even if the attack was successful it would have only put Andrew at 19 commander damage and then removed Yasharn from the game since Nick would be dead. I think limiting the attack to just Yasharn at Andrew, or possibly just not taking Yasharn with Willbender and continuing to let Nick do the work could have worked out better. Max could have delayed stealing Yarsharn so Nick could have put Andrew to 19 commander damage, then Max could have stolen Yasharn in Martin’s turn and put lethal commander on Andrew before he got another turn. What are your thoughts?
@frankschirmer94643 жыл бұрын
I see him tap out during the combat dialog, is that for the Goldmane or to activate him? If it is the latter, it should be lethal all around.

while some applaud the land wipe savagery i'll say what others are thinking. mass land destruction sucks ass. even more when it's on one player at a time. even worse still when you resort to that shit strategy and still end up losing. making a long game 2X longer by removing lands with no win on board (not even a commandign position in this case) is just stupid as hell and annoying to endure.
@MTGMuddstah3 жыл бұрын
Are you referring to my land wipes or Nick's?
@P4CCHU3 жыл бұрын
@@MTGMuddstah Probably Nick's. However, I don't think it was bad. Both times he did it ON the player which was in a commanding position, giving himself a chance to take the lead. @@MTGMuddstah Nick's. Jolreal is powerful to use like that of course but wiping lands for a slog just sucks imo
@jlbrooks743 жыл бұрын
@@P4CCHU perhaps. But if the only goal is to take the lead position (which didn't really happen) that's what board wipes are for (creatures, artifacts, enchantments, etc.). Resource wipes are a hard setback that take a ridiculous number of turns to crawl back from. It's just my opinion but if you can't find a way to win other than getting rid of opponent's basic resources (aka lands) then you're strength as a player is probably lacking.
@P4CCHU3 жыл бұрын
@jeffrey brooks Why would your strength as a player be lacking? You're making the most efficient thing, destroying their resources in order to don't allow them to comeback. Land wipes are salty? Heck yeah. But you can't deny me that is the most efficient destruction you can do
