Translation:
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the delusion of enjoyment.

The Shaykh made a passing statement that the shafa’ of the Prophet SAW is not something we should immediately aim for (I think these are his words in the early part of the 47th minute in the video). On the face of it, it sounds confusing. But it is not meant to be understood literally. My understanding is that we should not just sit and wish for the shafa’ and do nothing else. But by all means, we should desire it and work towards benefitting from it. Remember, the Shaykh even reminded us on how to aim for it - by perfecting the Kalimah, and by frequently sending Salawat upon the Prophet SAW. So, you see, he couldn’t have meant that we shouldn’t aim for it in a literal sense. In fact, at the very beginning of mentioning that item No. 6, that is, Shafa’, he said, it is one of our ultimate goals. Therefore, in summary, my understanding is that we shouldn’t just aim for it and do nothing about or toward the other acts (Nos 1 - 5) just because we are hoping for the Shafa’. Allahu Ta’ala A’alam. I pray if the Shaykh reads your query, he finds time to clarify this point so we can all benefit. And to endeavour in future to avoid statements that on the face of them may be confusing, or to clarify them immediately. Pardon me Shaykh if this statement touches you negatively even mithkala dharra, for I do not mean it that way. JazakalLah khairan katheeran ya Shaykh na.

Episode 10- actions that save one from jahannam Quran mentions that whoever is removed from the fire of hell and is caused to enter jannah, that is the person who has indeed won everything Every good deed (overall piety and sincerety) will be a factor in saving one from jahannam. The following deeds apply: 1. strong belief in allah, la ilaha ilallah, in a narration, allah has made the fire of hell haram to whoever says la ilah ilallah sincerely. In another narration, theres not a single person who says la ilaha ilalallah wa muhammadur rasullulah sincerely from his heart except that allah will make the fire of hell haram for him 2. constant prayer, praying salah on time, properly praying. People in jahannam when asked mention they were not musaleen ( of those who constantly prayed) Allah has made haram the fire of hell to touch any part of the body that touched when doing sajdah, even if some muslims are punished, the fire of hell will not touch those particular places of sajdah As for the one who regularly prayed, in a narration, whoever prays the 5 daily prayers, and protects their wudu, and their timings and their ruku and sujood, and he knows he is doing his duty in front of allah, allah will make jahannam haram for him. It can be interpreted that one who is this sincere and regular in salah will be a more righteous muslim, and less likely to commit serious major sins (murder etc.) In a narration, the wife of the prophet SAW said, that she heard the prophet SAW say, whoever plays 4 rakah before zuhr and 4 rakah after zuhr, that allah will make the fire of hell haram from him. Whoever does the 2 rakah before fajr, it is better than everything is in this world 3. Continual fasting, fasting for the sake of allah: in a narration, whoever fasts one day in he way of allah, allah will remove his face from jahannam for a distance of 70 khalif (years, distance, ambigous meaning). The majority of scholars interpret this a whoever fasts while doing the good deed of being in jihad (eg expedition), another group interprets and do you are doing good and fast In a narration, fasting is a sheild/barrier that will protect you from the punishment of allah 4. to be of those whom allah loves and to love allah, in a narration, the prophet SAW swore that allah will never throw one who he loves in the fire of hell. We should go through the quran and read the verses where allah mentions he loves so and so, and emulate those characteristics 5. participate in a legitimate jihad/ struggle/ expedition, in a narration whoever feet were dusted in the way of allah, those feet shall never the fire of hell (meaning jahannam is haram for him). In a narration, 2 are the pair of eyes the fire of hell shall never touch. 1. the eyes that cried out of the fear of allah, 2. the eyes that spent the nights awake guarding the lands of allah, 6. patience in times of sever adversity/distess. In a narration, there is no person who loses 3 of his children and he is patient at that except that the fire of hell will be haram for him. In the past, the mortality rates were much higher, however today mortaility rates for children are much lower, scholars may interpret that anyone who loses one child and is patient, they should be optimistic of being saved from hell. 7. giving charity and sadaqah. In an a narration, the prophet SAW was speaking to some women and advised to give charity as he SAW saw the majority of the inhabitants of hell of women, (the point was to encourage women to give more in charity, its also mentioned that jannah has more women than men). In another narration, save yourselves from the fire of hell, even if it be with a date or even the date seed, if you cannot find something to give, then a good word (cheerful word, encouragement). 8. Have good manners, be humble, soft hearted, beloved to the people for good manners, in a narration, every person who is nearby (when you need them,-qareeb) and easy going and gentle 9. saying the kalimah at the time of death, whoever manages to say la ilah ilallah as his last breath shall enter jannah, in another narration, whoever says la ilaha ilallah wa allahu akbar, allah you have spoken the truth and there is no god but me and i am akbar, … there are more said things. An interpretation is we should say this phrases normally day to day in our lives to increase chance of saying this when we reach death. 10. Constant dua to allah to be saved from jahannam. ‘allahumma ajirnee min an naar’, etc. There are many duas in the quran of being saved from jahhanam. In surah ale imran, both the beginning and end have duas. The prophet SAW every salah, reportedly would say a dua in salah before finishing it, and do dua after salah, and during zikr sessions.... The prophet SAW would (outside salah) pause quran recitations( which is the highest form of zikr), anytime it mentioned jannah, he SAW would stop and ask allah for jannah, and anytime it mentioned jahannam, He SAW would stop recitation and sekk allahs refuge from jahannam. Every night before sleep, the wife of the prophet SAW, Hafzah RA mentioned when he would go to sleep he would put his right hand under his cheek (not necesarilly sunnah) and then would say ‘oh allah save me from you punishment when you resurrect your creation’ (allahummaqinii azaaba yawma tab’asu ‘ibaadak’ 3 times he SAW would say this. Imagine one who prayed to allah tens of thousands of times in their lifetime to be saved form hellfire, it is likely inshallah that allah will accept that persons dua nd sincerety. In a narration, whoever asks allah 3 times for jannah, jannah itself says oh allah cause him to enter me, and whoever seeks refuge in allah 3 times from jahhannam, jahannam itself says ‘oh allah, let him not enter me’. In surah nisaa it mentions that whoever obeys allah and his messenger, allah will cause him to enter jannat, and whoever disobeys allah and his messngers, and transgressing beyond bounds, that person allah will cause to enter hellfire with a humiliating punishment. Ibn taymihah (RA) summarises 10 factors/mechanisms that cause one sins to be dissovled, in a way that doesn’t include jahannam (saving from hellfire). 1 and 2. tawbah and istigfar. Tawbah is a state of mind/emotional and istigfar is an action (of the tongue), whoever they are connected In a narration, the one who repents from a sin, it is as if he did not do the sin at all. 3. doing good deeds, doing good deeds cause evil deeds to go away. A man did a sin, then did a good deed, when he cam to the prophet SAW about his sin, he was affirmed that his good deed took care of the sin he did earlier. 4. righteous believers asking allah to forgive you. After one dies, people do janazah, righteous children doing dua for you. One way of ensuring this is impacting peoples lives, helping them in a generous way. 5. good deeds, (somebody else gifting it to you) 6. shaf’ah of the prophet SAW, some people will have done evil and deserve to be punishment, but they will come on the day of judgement and because of the shaf’ah the prophet SAW, they will not be punished. In a narration, my shaf’ah is meant for the major sinners of my ummah. To get the shaf’ah of of the prophet SAW 1. perfect the kalima 2. sending salawat upon the prophet SAW 7.8.9. are things we do not want to aim for, but if they happen it can be used to save us forem jahannam. 7. the calamities, pain, suffering during life and we have patience and firmness during those times, maintaining our connection with allah, every pain/calamity (even a thorn prick) allah forgives our sins. 8.the fitna of the kabr/grave: the terror of the kabr, the darkness, tighting, punishment,anxiety of the grave. There will be sinful muslims who might serve jahannam, but allah might save this person (because of their good deeds) from jahannam through the punishment fo the kabr. 9. the anxiety/terror/fear during the day of judgement. The best muslims will eb saved from all anxiety on the DOJ, but some people will be tested on the doj in different ways anxiety, scarring from the hooks on the siraat etc. But will be saved in the end from jahannam. 10. The pure generosity of allah, some people if allah wills will be saved and forgiven from allah,

Being a nice good kind guy isn't survivable u will have to become alpha and sigma or any as the modernist stress upon to live the life without getting abused or used by your wife. Or any of you companion..so sir correct me and enlighten me with the prevailing problem going in our youth culture..how can I combat this fitnah of Alpha Sigma with being kind and nice as being a burned used persona...enlighten the knowledge of mine in this concept so that guide many more among my peers ..and myself too make a series and bring the hadees which combat with this modernism...

Can we really gift good deeds to the people who are dead for example i recite quran and wish that good deed goes to my friend or anyone else who is dead is that possible. Im from india and what people do here is when someone dies after 3 days family members calls orphans at their place and pay them to recite quran and they think the good deed will go to the person who is dead. I don’t understand the logic behind this and I don’t know if this is permissible . Can anyone please help me ????

Quick question The sunnah prayers of zuhr...4 rakat before zuhr but is it 2 or 4 rakat after zuhr?

The Prophet Muhammed ( saw ) whoever prays 4 rak'at before dhuhr (zuhr) Allah will have mercy upon him, (or as he said (saw)). it is not a clear sunnah, sometimes pray it, once in a while
