***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 3 new videos every week! Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Thank for the kindness and compassion that you show to all of your animals. I could never be a farmer because everything would become a life long pet. If we are going to eat meat is is so important that all creatures are given a great natural life. So... Thanks again. You guys are awesome.

Mother and daughter look like two age levels of twins. The piggy's are home now . They will soon become accustomed to their new digs. Now I want to toot the horn and ring the bell . My grandson has been drafted to play baseball with the Boston Red Sox ! He was drafted on June 5th. He made his plan when he was nine years old. He would play Little League , then Sr. Little League , then high school , college and then play for his favorite team , the Dodgers . So far , his plan has worked out except the Dodgers passed him over. The Dodgers were interested but they chose a lesser but more well known player. So , Dean ( DEANO ) Miller will play for Boston instead. Like all newly drafted players Deano will begin in the Minor Leagues. I don't expect that he will stay there very long. All that Deano needs now is a baseball fan base.

I have a question for you, please.... The flour you buy from Azure, is it organic? I looked on their site and see there is a lot of items out of stock. Just wondered if yours was organic or regular. I have issues with flour (not gluten intolerant that I know of) and have to keep changing to a different kind, after awhile, think something (ingredients?) changes with it, and my body detects it! LOL I've been buying Hodgson Mill at my grocery store, but they haven't been getting any lately... I also can't eat bread from the store as it tastes bad to me, but, there are a couple of organic bread loaves I can eat. My body is terribly picky, what can I say?? Hard to live with it! LOL I know shortages are on the horizon.... thanks!!

God bless you two for raising pigs. Of all the animals we had on the farm, pigs were the ones that I always hoped Dad and my brother took care of. My dad always said, "they smell like money to me!" I loved the team of work horses (this was at least 65 yrs ago, and yes, we had a tractor and modern farm equipment, Dad just couldn't give up the horses.) It's really nice to have a little helper, it makes things a lot easier. I wonder how long you blanch carrots. Oh I'll check your video, you said you put a link down below so I'll look at it. the pigs are going to be fun. i'm interested in when/how they'll forage in the woods. i have 15 acres of some old growth hardwoods, with medium density undergrowth; i'd like to raise some pigs to clean the forest a bit for 5-6 months at a time and just move them through it. how long can you graze three pigs per 100 x 100 ft section before they tear it up too much?

It is good to get the kids doing things so they don't rebel later on!! Also, I think I have said this before, but your daughter looks...just...like...you!!!

I love the pigs. How have your rabbits been doing lately? You haven't shown much of them lately.

Hi Folks! I love to see and hear your critters when you let them out in the mornings....they seem excited to get to food and fresh grass! My wife and I usually blanche veggies but not fruits which tend to be soft....I love your videos!!! Rick in Pa.

Thank you for all the great informative videos. One suggestion you might try would be to freeze your cauliflower on cookie sheets and when frozen put loose in the freezer bags and when needed for dinners just take out the amount needed. I do this with many of my garden veggies and also fruits, like strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
