Metallica takes in different countries 1 very known song and "make this own". In Estonia, Tartu they played and sung our famous "Insener Garini hüperboloid" by Vennaskond in almost pure estonian language 😄 That was pretty sensational. Nice reaction btw 👍🤘

White friday, 13 desember 1916. On the sloops under Mount Marmelade (Blood Mountain) during the battle between Italien and Austria-Hungary, an avalanch came down on the battlefield. Estemated loss of soldiers in all from 5000 to 10.000 +1500 civiliens, that now are burried under 10 meters of snow. The song is one of theese soldiers singing, how he sees him self, soldier of heaven, frozen in time on duty.

Joakim probably does the Synth, he's a Keyboard player....... Sabaton are the best history teachers you could ever hope for. They all have wrapped guitars, Par and Chris as well, match their pants! :P That's basically their concert outfits except this time they all have glasses on!

One of my favorite songs is resit and bite which is actually about an epic event that happened in your country when the famed ghost division rolled through before getting their name. Personally I prefer Nuclear Blast Records' video of this song over the sabaton lyric video but both are good. Gloria fortis miles!

as you already know, all the Sabaton songs are based on real events or persons, this one has this story.... White Friday occurred during the Italian Front of World War I when an avalanche struck an Austrian barracks on Mount Marmolada, killing 270 soldiers. Other avalanches the same day struck Italian and other Austrian positions, killing hundreds. According to some reports both sides deliberately fired shells into the weakened snowpacks in an attempt to bury the other side. The White Friday avalanches killed from 9,000 to 10,000 soldiers on both sides. The date 13 December, marked Saint Lucia, a commemorative religious holiday practiced by the majority of Italian Catholics. Though the occurrence of avalanches in the Dolomites Mountains took place on a Wednesday in 1916, the term 'White Friday' was used to coin the disastrous day

the gravestone exists but its in austrian(german) hungarian and itallish if i remember right the german text says In Gedenken an die ihr Leben für ihr Vaterland während dem gesamten Krieg und ins besondere an jenem tag der den namen Weißer Freitag trägt . it was put up in the 70s on the site of where the white-friday-disaster happend
