I love this song, not just for its’ sound, but also it’s message. To me, it speaks to the inseparability of sadness and pain from life, yet it posits that, within the sadness there is also a profound beauty to life; we just need to accept that life is a mix of beauty and tragedy. We must learn to embrace both polarizing aspects of life. It’s like yin and Yang. There is beauty even in sadness( and vice versa) It’s like she says, the despair will always be there, even on the best of days; this is a profound realization that life is not about searching, it’s about Feeling and experiencing each and every moment, appreciating the beauty in everything. We can’t allow ourselves to be dismayed by the inexorable despair, nor can we get caught up in asking why …just accept that life is wha it is. There is also comfort in knowing that your pain is shared by others, as is your joy; She speaks to this interconnectedness when she says that,” My sun is your sun!” We all share the same earth, the sane sun, the same moon and galaxy. It’s easy to feel alone and isolated at times, but the fact is, we are all connected universally and inseparably in ways we can’t even fathom.

I dealt with depression for years… I’m in a much better headspace now - this song kind of helped me through it - for me this song meant that “despair/sadness/sorrow will always be there - it’s a part of me and it will never go away and it’s okay. I don’t have to be afraid to live. Life really is full of ups and downs and I just have to enjoy it all no matter how hard it is - life is beautiful like this, with all of it’s imperfections”. 2022 and yes I searched for this song. 💜🖤💜
