#7 and #8 make me wonder if base coaches literally do anything at all. Apparently, all you have to do is dress up in a uniform, and not tell base runners that they're about to get out for a dumb and easily prevented reason.

Watch again. The base umpires in both instances are doing their jobs and saying "back!" To the baserunners. The players are the ones being idiots not knowing if they hit a home run or a single and trying to play catch with a live ball......

@@linollieum3742 It's not their job to say something, it's their job to get baserunners to hear them and stay on base. If their baserunners get out, it's on the coaches, not the runners. The whole point of base coaches is to be above the fray of the game and actually communicate, not mumble and shrug when they're not heard.

Does anyone besides the pitcher, catcher and first basemen really do anything all game though? 95% of your time playing baseball you are literally standing there doing nothing or sitting in the dugout 😂

@@TheJstroud24 At least fielders are expected to take care of their area of the field with hustle and competence when the ball comes over. I'm sure some base coaches are better than these, but man these are bad.
