I honestly think NY needs to pass a law that rentals need to be walked through every 6 months and if a resident isnt removing garbage weekly immediate inspection. The neighbors of these places really suffer.. i sincerely hope this man gets healing ❤.

I always know it's really, really bad when Barbie wears that type mask while cleaning 😮. That's an additional hindrance to her I would think but she presses on for the greater good of others in desperate conditions. 😇

I knew someone who lived like that, but we didn't know until after she died. One of the huge problems is that when something goes wrong, such as a plumbing problem, they are afraid to call a workman to fix it, so it stays broken. When you let the water run into that sink, I fully expected it to flow into an open trap and out onto your feet. Why else would they have set up the bin to hold water? In any case, I'm glad to see you're wearing breathing apparatus. The stench must be awful, and the health hazards are frightening. Also, just look at you! Lots of people pay good money to spend time in a gym to get in shape, but you're getting a workout by doing this saintly real work!

​@@donnamaco1SSDI is the answer and it covers 100% and no premiums. Obviously can't work on the books over $ 1000 but probably not working anyway. The worst part is mental health is not a priority in the state plans but physically they are very good. Mental health providers hate SSDI because of low reimbursements. Ps. Tell them your dog died and you need help for it. And then you are in.

Me too. Stoves have justable feet, and if it's broken, I'd put one of those bottle caps beneath one corner. If that tenant doesn't overcome their addictions (alcohol, tobacco, marihuana from the looks) nothing will change. I hope they get the needed help.

It was just incredible the way you transformed this kitchen. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. Your attention to detail is absolutely top-notch! It's so sad to think that a person could live like that. I hate to think what the state of his lungs and liver are like. We are a strange species the way we indulge in toxic, harmful products that we know are going to ruin our bodies and our health. Barbie, you are incredible. i don't know how long you worked on this, but if it took less than 2 days, i'm amazed. that was so much work. the place looks so shiny and new! Cigs are awful. nicotine stains so badly. but, after you cleaned, couldn't even tell there were stains before. if any place needed you to wield your steamer, this was one!! as someone else said, i was amazed that place didn't catch fire. i hope they use ashtrays and throw away and clean up after their smoking now. better yet, quit altogether. sorry, i have a bugaboo about smoking. grew up with my dad smoking and watched him suffer for yra b/c of it. broke my heart.
