First time I have heard the live version. This was a huge hit back in the early 90s. The dance floor would be packed with couples and line dancers.

I have danced this one thousands of times. I was related for a short time by marriage to Ronnie Dunn. Also this one was filmed in my hometown of Tulsa Oklahoma. I was there for the filming of this video at Tulsa City Limits.

Fun fact- The video was shot at the Tulsa City Limits Bar in Tulsa, OK, but the actual Boot Scooters Bar that the song references was "out by the city limits sign," was actually in Roswell, NM. It was founded in 1984 and I used to go there back in the early 2000's. I don't know when or why it closed but google shows it is definitely closed now. I used to work bar security in Roswell for a little while and was friends with the bouncers and security at several other bars and nightclubs in the city. We would patron each others bars on our nights off and help out when large fight broke out.

I'm not a country guy by any stretch of the imagination, but these guys are pretty good. You'll probably be requested to do songs like I Believe or My Maria or Brand New Man, which are all pretty good; especially I Believe, but I suggest Lost and Found or Neon Moon. Neon Moon may be my personal favorite by them, but nobody ever does Lost and Found. I guess that's the hidden gem🤷♂️

These guys are GOAT's od country music & have a ton of hits. For a total different side of them, check out 'Believe'... and get your tissues. Other great tunes are 'My Maria' or 'Neon Moon' or 'Brand New Man', for starters. This is a 'line dancing' & the song & is huge & they have a line dance called the Boot scoot boogie.! In the official video, they are on stage in a Honkytonk Bar & people are doing it on the dance floor in front of the stage. Country folks know how to have fun. And Brad, you could probably find a KZbin video teaching you a line dance. LOL You two are adorable.

I saw Brooks and Dunn open for ZZ Top(I know weird, right?)some years ago. I can say that I was thoroughly impressed by Ronnie Dunn. He's a fantastic singer. He sounded just as good live as any performer I've ever seen. He sang every note perfectly. They weren't tuned down a half step like most performers do because they can't hit the high notes anymore. He was phenomenal and made me a fan for life that night.

I remember when Line Dancing got popular. I was stationed at Minot AFB ND. I had to go to California for a few days. They put us up at this big hotel there. That night in this lounge which was huge they had line dancing. And in come this black man. There is black and there is holly crap this dude is black. And he was wearing all white. And I mean white. And this white compared to his black skin it was comical. Than they all started doing this chicken dance. Which I've never heard of at the time. I know it's terrible but I could not stop laughing. It was one of those you had to see. I'm sure the dude was a nice guy. He seemed to be having fun. But that look. Damn that was a site. So for ever when I hear the chicken dance I will see that guy.
