Good old school Italian moms got the best little cooking tricks. My wife’s a south Philly Italian to and her cooking always amazes me I swear all Italian woman ( presuming your mother is she seems it ) always have their own little tricks and hacks and they always do things totally uniquely and it always turns out amazing

I make a very basic rub for pork ribs or butts that might work well on fish If you like spicy . I buy pickled jalapenos in a jar at the grocery store and I mix the juice with yellow mustard , which is a good binder , and rub it on the meat . You could also use the pickled Jalapeno juice as a marinade Top it with salsa and cheese ?

With all do respect fishing with electric reels isn't fishing. Sitting there reeling in a fish with one hand on your thigh isn't fishing. Where is the sport in it ??? You want to fish deep part of the karma is you have to reel that fish in not allow a machine to do the work. No sport at all
