This was the first time in my life I have ever gotten stung by a yellow jacket, so I documented how my body reacted to the yellow jacket's sting. It was a little worse than I was anticipated to be honest.
Here is how it went:
First 10 Minutes - Pain at the site of the sting location, then went away
Next 3 Hours - Some soreness, wrist started to feel like I had sprained it.
Next 24 - 36 Hours - Worst time period. Very itchy, redness spread all around, tissue was very hard and could feel heat coming from the area.
36 - 48 Hours - Still itchy, but slightly less than the first 36 hours, Less redness than before, tissue was not as hard and could feel less heat coming from the area.
48 - 72 Hours - Less itchy, but still would have periods were it would become very itchy. Most of the redness had gone down, as well as the swelling.
72 - 96 Hours - No longer red and swollen, but still have periods it itches a lot .
120 Hours - No longer itchy.
