My favorite , has to be , Defoe's character in "Boon Dock Saint's" , witty , almost charming , and shocking in the same moments . My second favorite is "White Sands" , a man quickly learning , who to trust , who not to , and realizing over his head , was the right place for him . One of my favorite actors ."Streets of Fire" is a most watched favorite film for me as well , he played Raven . I would love to have a cup of coffee with him .

I love Willems work. He is truly unique. His face is truly made for character heavy laden roles and he doesn't disappoint. That is why I find it so strange that in my opinion his best role, or at least my favorite is his role in Platoon. This is one of the few times he plays the good guy of sorts. I loved the movie. His death scene is perhaps one of the most heartbreaking scenes of any movie I ever saw.

I Thought Elias in Platoon was his best, and his cameo in Born on the fourth of July was very realistic the scene when he freaks out i the taxi and him and Ron Kovic start fighting, he was also good in Mississippi burning , he's one of my favorite actors ,he must have been the only actor to have played in so many Vietnam films.

The tribute could have been more comprehensive. Though it did include one of Willem's top roles in Platoon, it left the other important role in The Last Temptation completely out. That was an omission especially when it chose to show his small part in Heaven's Gate.
