Yerf Dog GX150 Spiderbox Monster Go Kart

This is a one of a kind custom go kart that was built by my son and myself from a Yerf Dog GX150 Spiderbox frame geometry. This truely is a one of a kind monster kart that will turns heads.
Build list includes:
Upgraded heavy duty front end, front brakes, and gusseted front neck on frame that was prone to breaking.
Golf cart all terrain 23” tires with 14” wheels
Kuryaken Bluetooth sound bar that can be heard cruising down the road.
Street legal sequential turn signals and brake lights.
24” LED light bar
Red “V”running lights up in front for an aggressive look.
18” LED UTV Whips that color change with an app on your phone.
Upgraded 26mm Mikuni carb and Uni air filter.
Tuned free flowing BDX exhaust specifically designed for the GX150 engine with baffle for quieter sound if wanted.
Wider 1” keyed axle with larger sprocket for more low end torque with larger tires.
Custom metal top canopy to keep the sun off while riding
Reverse gearbox with manual shifter in between seats
Red/black padded seat covers
4 point safety harnesses
115mm Variator sheaves
HD clutch shoes with 1500rpm red engagement springs
Dual USB charging ports for devices

This thing is sick! I've been working on mine recently. I am purchasing the BDX front kit but I was wondering what shocks you have on the rear for The extra lift? All the ones I seem to find seem really soft and bouncy.

I’m in the process of building this same model Yerf Dog 3206. It’s currently torn down as I’m getting ready to prep it for paint. I ordered a 4 point harness ahead of time. What part of the frame did you end up mounting all the points? Was there any custom work done to make it happen? Asking before I paint it and put it back together in the off chance it’s easier to do any potential custom fab to make this harness work. Thanks in advance.

The brakes worked great, the new axle needed extra support, so outer axle carriers were welded on. I’ve since sold the Kart and moved on to other projects!

Sorry for another question. How bad did the front tires rub? Or did they not rub in the front at all? Are the tires 8" or 8.5" wide? I see a lot of golf karts with 8.5" tires is my reason for asking.

@@stephenchina1196 I didn’t have any issues with the tires running because I used 2” hub spacers in the front which allowed sufficient clearance from the frame.

44 inch axle or 54 inch axle? I got a pretty big project I put a 44 on and I'm not sure how it'll hold up, the yerf dog has a comparable weight so that's why I need to know

If you do the 54” axle you’ll need to add additional bearings for support on the axle shaft near the wheels.

@@Eighty8Fitter Nice, it's got 26" wheels but it's only 3 inches larger than yours and you seem to be fine. It's a burned down Landstar LS670, lowering the seats, steering, and roll cage, replaced the melted diff with a live axle
