One thing I can never get over the Constellation is why the casing have to be so thick/tall?? Why can’t omega make it flat and super slim? I remember back in 80s these were elegant slim watches. I know those were the quartz days but hey with omega’s resources and technical know how I don’t see it as a challenge for them.

The mark up on gold is ridiculous. I would be willing to pay extra for the cost of the gold but not the ridiculous mark up. A Sub is $9100 at retail. A gold sub has about 10k in gold but the price of a gold Sub is 40k.

It's funny how differently people can approach a watch. For me, the last thing I’d want to see here is a sporty clasp! I find the trend of putting sporty clasps on elegant watches to be a curse of modern times. I definitely prefer a small, elegant butterfly clasp over a large and heavy sports one, even if the latter offers more adjustment. What Omega has done is good enough for me.

Probably the most beautiful watch in this series. However, the price is as inflated. Price and the dial is from space. It doesn't reflect the effort put into the piece, especially considering it's not a solid gold watch but merely gold-plated. Using the term 'gold' for watches that contain less than 50% gold is, to put it mildly, unethical.

The new one released in 2023 is even better. It has the lowest number of parts over any other chronograph on the market which is 20% lower than most others while managing to feature the vertical clutch movement. It uses ceramic bearings for the rotor and is still dead silent during operation. Rolex has also continuously updated it over the years with the patented technology they use in their other models. Absolutely worth MSRP
