Why is the guy playing acoustic guitar and looking like he's never even heard the song before??! This song is iconic!

11:16 that's very orchestral the way the harp leads into the big synth hit. I've always been amazed at how incredibly precise everyone is on this track

Definitely some Squire in those backing vocals

The chorus is mostly Trevor Rabin but Chris Squire is doing the high harmonies.

20:30 I would argue that the Police, specifically (Andy Summers) were using that guitar sound before 'Owner of a lonely Heart' came out, so I'm not convinced they learned it from them. The Police's last album Synchronicity came out before 90125 came out, so I don't see how 'Owner of a Lonely Heart' influenced the Police

winner, winner, chicken dinner! the first use of the orchestra hit in a recording was on "planet rock" by afrika bambaataa in april of 1982. one year earlier than "owner of a lonely heart"

i also forgot, trevor horn (album producer), used this sample a TON with his own band (art of noise) one year later 1984. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6SpfGNjocidfbc

@@deepinsidethemusicoh man. I was wrong. Art of Noise got the sample from Yes! I stand corrected.

The backing vocals are clearly a lot of Chris Squire and Trevor too. Chris was always there on every album as he had a great voice.
