Hi, Bev! great advice on canning greens. Here in the Deep South, we eat a lot of greens, and routinely can cabbage, collards, kale and broccoli greens.

This is fabulous. My hubby just said the other day that you had so much amazing content in your older videos and you should put out a " retro" or " OG Mrs. V." Series for new subscribers or just a refresher for us long time viewers.

Oh my goodness, 12 years ago. I remember this video. I realize I've been watching your videos most of my adult life at this point even if I just check in around gardening season-winter these days. Wow. And I have really learned a lot. ~Gothic Sugar

Wouldn’t it be great to go back to prices from 12 years ago. A dollar a head would be great right about now. Thanks for the video!

Someone told me if you dust flour on your cabbage in the garden will keep moths, and insects from eating them.

I've sown marigolds all around my cabbage family for two years now. No cabbage loopers in sight, though I've seen plenty of cabbage moths flying around.

Hi Bev, that’s a throwback video, good job. I can’t think of a veggie that I don’t like on my pantry shelves. You can always make something with veggies even if it’s just soup. Good job Bev. Have a very blessed day and weekend!

I don't think i would can cabbage just because it's pretty cheap year round. It would be a convience to have on the shelf.

Can you dry can Califlower for 90 minutes for a pint with the oven at 250 degrees?
@applegal30582 ай бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it...the dry heat might damage your lids, plus how do you know if the heat penetrates the jar contents properly? I wouldn't risk my jars or my health...

Question if cabbage is low acid why no lemon juice I can understand why no vinegar don't want it to taste like vinegar. With canning it with tomatoes then you have the acid added. You're still alive without adding acid so it really works this way. Thanks Bev 🙏❤🙏
@OurHalfAcreHomestead4 ай бұрын
I don't need to add acid because I'm pressure canning it
