Steps 1)Make a list 2) attack small easy tasks first 3) Take big tasks, and split them up into smaller easier tasks 4) 5 second rule. Count down from 5, then get up and do it(if you wan to start something) 5)Make the first move 6)Set a challenge, give yourself a reward

Great tips! What I have been trying to do this semester is first tackle all the big homeworks due the next day and the smallest in the end because in the afternoon I feel lazier and not in the mood of doing homework. But everyone is different, find your own way of studying by experimenting! To stop procrastinating, I put both my long-term and short-term goal at view but not close enough for me to reach and stop doing HW, so I put my cellphone in the room (but all notifications turned off so that I don't get distracted) which is the short-term goal and a picture of Harvard.

Basically procastination is because of several reasons. 1, the work is too big and heavy, you don't think you can finish it with the amount of time that you have, which is pretty much why you need *divide and conquer* strategy. That leads to 2, it is hard/impossible to start the momentum when you don't think you can finish the mission - that is why there are tips like counting to 5, trying to write 1 sentence/paragraph or doing a 20-min section of your task. The problem is further strengthened by your belief that once the deadline is close (1-2 days), you'll finish the task with a whatever level of completence - true, but if the level of commitment is that low then why do you even need to take that course or even go to college? Anyway, back to the video, tips for *curing* procastination are everywhere. However what I think is more interesting like the kind of thinking you are when you apply a certain tip or how to keep going till the end has yet been discussed. Otherwise, great video!

"I'm probably in the car on the way to the studio. Which, as it happens, reminds me of a conversation I had with Steven Spielberg about what was the most difficult and challenging thing about directing a film. And I believe Steven summed it up about as profoundly as you can. He thought the most difficult and challenging thing about directing a film...was getting out of the car." - Stanley Kubrick

Procrastinating can be a good thing. Like deciding not to do drugs as a teenager since "I can do that later when I'm older with less chance to get in trouble". When you're older and hopefully wiser you just decide not to do it altogether. Same with driving "I'll just wait longer to make that perfect left turn or let me just let this car pass me so I can swing around. No police ticket or accident yet and I've been driving almost ten years now.

Could you please do a video on public speaking? I'm going into freshman year of high school and I'm doing Model United Nations (MUN) and when I public speak if I'm not speaking straight from a written script/paper and I have to "improv" some of the research I learned like you do in MUN, at times I will stutter or have trouble coming up with what to say. It's okay if you don't have time though :D

I've also read somewhere to stop telling yourself, "I should do this/that..." because it often doesn't have any effect, but instead tell yourself, "Why aren't I doing this?" and in that case your brain doesn't have an excuse and you'll eventually start doing what you have to do. I've tried it and it works for me, but I can't speak in the name of everyone.

Tip try to complete a project in a set amount of time and if u do reward yourself if u don’t punish yourself It’s fun with friends who u study with cuz u can do stuff like if u lose u get an egg smashed on ur head that’s also a reward for the people who did complete it

Make a list of the items you have to do It will make easy to prioritize Attacking all the small tasks that are easy. Take your big tasks and split them. Divide the big task. The five second rule You start counting 5 4 3 2 1 and you start to do the task Make the first move. Set yourself a challenge. Give yourself a reward.
