I backtest stocks. I kind of came up with a $utly type screen and it backtested at about 2% annualized vs about 7% for sp500. This is actually good as iv of 100% should provide 100% yield.

What do you think is going to happen when a fund pays high yields? The only risk they have is a slight NAV erosion on EX Date but get those divys.

Thanks for your efforts and I enjoy your take on these ETF distributions. The catch on NAV depreciation for me is reinvesting a % of the distribution and gaining some more distribution and letting it play out like the snow ball coming down a hill effect! However with extra costs these days, do not get to use that strategy as much as I would like!

i simply do not see how you can wrong with YMAG. especially at inception. those will rise after september. keeping the .70 range and if it ups and stays at $19.00 is cool.

Why does $ulty hold any stock with less than 100% implied volatility? The 3x funds seem very risky downside with only 33% iv.

If the fund of funds go to weekly like Jay has pondered, they will be more stable bc it won’t go down 10% at the payment and it will allow you to drip at the nav every week if it goes down. Weekly is the way. Nvdy is the only one I trust rn but there is possibility in msty.

That's not true at all. Whether the fund pays 2.5% in a month or 0.5%% a week, the share price will end up going down the same amount by the end of the month.

I own ULTY, CONY, and MSTY. I don't care about the NAV. I am in it for compounding dividends. I just keep reinvesting. Yes, my original investment for all was higher then current price. However reinvesting at these low prices is a blessing. Before you know it, these will all be back above $20.00 levels. Then everyone will be mad and say, why didn't they buy more when price was down. 🙂

Thanks for making this, great video! Top 3 best payout for the price per share are still CONY, MSTY, and ULTY. I have all 3, and some ARCC (it's a 10% dividend, but the Stock Price has been around $20 for around 20 years) and some SCHD and ABBV, both about 4% dividend, they're safe/growth but you need to be a millionaire already to live off them. ARCC, you'd only need about $600,000 to make $5,000 per month ($15,000 quarterly). I have a little MGK too, it's great to keep my account looking stable, but it's not income-generating, so when do I sell? There will never be a good time to sell since it will always be worth more in the future. There's nothing that pays as well as Yieldmax, Roundhill shares are twice the price so half the profit per dollar spent (but I do want to own some Roundhill eventually).

Ymax is a terrible fund especially since they started adding all these crappy ETFs to it. Im glad I sold it. The nav is down 21% since March 7th. Xdte which began trading on that day is only down 3%. And ymag sucks too! Also why pay the extra fees when you can just own the four or five that are performing well individually.

It performed well the first few months. I'm just trying to help out others. I am near retirement and looking for quality high yield funds and ymax and ymag suck

People are just fickle. They have no idea what's "stable" and what isn't. Even FEPI has some "NAV Erosion" recently. He ONLY way you won't have any "NAV Erosion" is if the fund pays like 10% or less.

These are designed poorly and strategy wasn't properly thought out. ignoring the NAV erosion is dangerous. There are many many other CC finds that function properly and actually have growing NAVs..
