not common, but a couple of word when finish with *er,* we tend to not pronounce the character before *er* as its original sound, just to adapt with the *er* sound comes after. I will make videos about those common words end with *er*

in english we say "a little bit". A is One. yi dian. in Chinese having dots sounds like measles, inconvenient lots of dots to keep track of. so you complain! you dian. We know the dian in yi dian is singular because it says yi.
