Vegard's face when she's like "Bård and Calle are 100% European," and he looks like he's terrified that that joke about him being adopted might actually be true. Although the Turkish thing actually being 0.7% true is amazing.
@ottov71910 жыл бұрын
Also because Ylvis have deep family roots in rural western Norway. In the mountaineous Sognefjord. Few people can boast Turkish "grandpas" there. Few people live there...
@nomdefaitour10 жыл бұрын
Their reaction upon being told hey were 100% European would be denounced as racist in he United States. It's good to see people of European descent to be proud of their ancestry without being shamed as racists as the media in the States routinely does.
@SummerLeppanen10 жыл бұрын
Aillas I don't think it would be denounced as racist, per say, but there's no denying there's something of an inherent implication of European superiority that might be frowned upon. I don't think there's anything wrong with being proud of one's heritage, it's just worth noting that European privilege is very real, and one should take that into account.
@nomdefaitour10 жыл бұрын
Summer Leppanen You must not live in America if you think their actions wouldn't be denounced as racist. EVERY newscast EVERY day in the United States has a least one story about racism (this when America has an African-American president). Racial issues is what the news in America is all about.
@SummerLeppanen10 жыл бұрын
Aillas I am very much American, actually. And I mean by reasonable human beings, not American media. The media I try to avoid because... well, it itself is racist and sexist and full of general bullshit.

Norwegian is a Germanic language so alot of words sound similar or/and is written similar to german. Stuhl (ger) = Stol (nor) = Chair (eng) Schule (ger) = Skole (nor) = School (eng) and so on. So its pretty easy for a norwegian to learn the german lanugage and the other way around :)

I think the fact that Bard had to focus on saying "summer"-y things instead of just screaming or swearing was something of a distraction that gave him the advantage in that test.
@Pastorius33311 жыл бұрын
Actually BOTH of their parents have dark hair and eyes. In fact, their mother has dark hair and curls just like Vegard. It's actually very common for Europeans from anywhere Europe to have a minor percentage of "something else" in their genes. 0,7 % is nothing special at all. They just exaggerated it for "show value" and because they know that most people don't know enough about the subject to know how extremely little of a sensation it is. plenty of Norwegians/other euros share Vegards results.
