Thank you so much for this series! I loved it and I hope you make more :-) I have been trying to learn more about yoga, especially the anatomy and alignment aspect. I am a science nerd and also a new yogi so this series brought together my two loves in one place! haha

Laura, Thank you so much for uploading your videos to KZbin. It's now 15 years since a lovely yoga teacher called Barbara Bradford taught me how to practise the sun salutations, I learned other postures and these helped me to challenge the depressions from which I had suffered for many, many years. Until recently I was able to practise yoga a great deal, usually every day but, I have been unable to practise much for over 6 months now as much in my life has changed. My body aches and my thoughts are often negative and dark as depression has begun to plague me again. Things must change soon Laura and I would be so deeply touched if you would include me in your thoughts and prayers to help me find my strength again and allow the changes needed for me to practise yoga again. Michael - I hope that the practice of yoga is able to help you through these difficult times as it has helped me and so many others! I will keep posting information and practices to guide you on this journey. just keep in mind- we dont always feel like getting on our mat and starting our yoga practice (it takes a push), but when you get there and start moving you are always glad that you did! Some days your practice might just be sitting on your mat and breathing, being present with the experience, and other days your body will start to move to work out the aches - just see how it unfolds and what you need that day.

Thank you so much for your reply Laura. I am being compelled to make lifestyle changes and examine where it is that I am going wrong. I have been obsessed with a 'boom and bust' attitude towards yoga for a long time now. i have been searching for sources of energy which would allow me to go from feeling very low to being extremely active in a short space of time. I need to try different things and meet different people. At present I live in a small village, later today I'm going to view apartments in a city an hour from here. I feel I really need the energy and buzz of city. Wishing you a pleasant week ahead, Michael

Thanks! This tutorial is so awesome i was teaching a beginners yoga class i told the class to come tomorrow next week next month next year like forever! That happens when Students experience a pain free class this tutorial allows me more modifications and cueing properly!
