This yoga class is for students with Ankylosing Spondylitis, or "Bechterew's Disease" as its also called. I've had Ankylosing Spondylitis for almost 10 years and I'm also a 500 hour certified yoga teacher. This class is made up of some of my favorite yoga poses for Ankylosing Spondylitis.
This yoga class is less than 30 minutes and will make your body feel more open & juicy! We'll do a nice warm-up, then opening our hips, working into gentle spinal twists, move into some juicy upper back opening, as well as upper back activation. We'll end in a yummy Savasana to really let our nervous system take it all in - did you know that calming our nervous system can help reduce inflammation? Which is key when you're dealing with Ankylosing Spondylitis, so dont skip your Savasana! :) This class is suitable for beginners.
