Dear Lesley, I want to take a moment to thank you for your wonderful videos. I was looking for someone who had easy to follow videos, who used no music, who had a nice soothing voice, who went straight to the point and started teaching right away, who would explain the postures as she went without giving long unnecessary explanations, who would make this fun for me....etc...And you my friend are this and more! I am so glad I found your videos (I'm not trying to bash anyone with my comments, because I am grateful for ALL the people that take time to share their knowledge, and there is the perfect instructor for each of us out there. I'm just very grateful I found you, and this is more of a compliment note than a bashing one to other instructors.) So thank you very much for your wonderful videos and your teaching techniques :) Peace to all.

I’ve restarted your 30 day challenge 4 times but am finally consistent enough to do it on the daily! I have severe SI Joint and Facet joint problems along with 3 herniated discs and receive cortisone injections every few months and this is the only thing I’ve noticed results from so far! And only day 10?!!! Crazy good! Better than any physical therapy/injections could ever do! Thank you for being an amazing instructor and doing what you do. I can’t say enough good things so far

@@hanahojati949 I’m not an expert at all, but I would say yes. I’ve learned to really focus on keeping my hip bones centered (even if it feels weird or if it feels like I’m leaning more to one side) and ALWAYS do my yoga in front of a mirror so I make sure I’m not wobbly, postured incorrectly, etc. I would say keep your focus on the hips as well as doing the poses but very slowly and get the posture/form perfected before you decided to stretch harder or push yourself (been there done that…NEVER again!) hopefully this helps and makes sense!!💜💜

I've been practising with your videos for some time now but it has been fantastic to come 'back to basics' in a sequential fashion and pay more attention to my ribs not sticking out and moving slowly and safely between poses. I absolutely love doing yoga with you. I've fallen in love from the first video. I do it almost everyday. If I don't do one day, I do two videos at one time. I couldnt do head down touching the floor today. It's too hard, well I'm a total beginner. I wouldn't have thought, I'll love any kind of activity so much. Thank you 😘

whoa, that quite intense. I struggle with left and right errday! Had to do a little bed time yoga. Tip: Dont go to an all you can eat sushi before training. it reallu takes a while to settle. Day 10 whahooo.

I'm enjoying starting my year by revisiting this 30 day challenge and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for leaving your mistakes in the recording. I am a relatively bright and capable adult who constantly mixes up my right and left! It's good to know I'm not alone! Are you left handed by any chance? I've wondered if it's a more common struggle for lefties...

I love knowing that you're human too!! :D I am one that does prefer the block behind my back in bridge. it's painful without it, but I'm worried that if I always used one, I'd miss the brnefits? I have crushed disks in neck and an unflexible spine so don't know which method would be best . I never know whether to lay off or strengthen

+Jen M Thank you!! Yes, I'm as human as they come! I think the best thing to do is to keep the block to avoid pain. Maybe if you continue to practice for a while you won't need...maybe not. As long as you're moving and breathing, it never matters how deeply you get into a pose. It's best to lay off when there's pain and then strengthen when there isn't pain. xx

Sometimes I feel like I should push(in many things, not just this pose), but when I do, I often times have to change to a retort I've practice for a while to make up for it and then start over. I've gotten a little smarter, and progressed further, but a lot of times, like this one, I still get confused on whether to hold back a little or push thru. I hope someday there will be a way for you to see my form in things like chaturunga to see if I'm moving thru correctly or not. Xoxoxo Blessings

is there any reason why we roll to the right (as oppose to the left) to rise up from lying down? :)

+Lisa Clinch You can roll to either but roll to the left in your pregnant because the circulation is better for the baby that way. We usually roll to the right so the internal organs aren't heavy on the heart. Also, rolling to the right is a bit more relaxing for the nervous system. :-)

Hi Leslie, I'm new here 😊 I'm doing your beginner yoga 30 day challenge. I love it so far! I am middle age with zero flexibility and about 75 lbs overweight. I find that when I'm doing the breathing, I find that my inhale is much shorter than my exhale. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get my inhales & exhales to match?

It would be really great if you recorded new commentary for this video. I found I stretched the same leg a couple of times because I was relying on the commentary as it’s hard to watch the screen when you’re moving through poses.

I'm obese and the transition from cobra to table top or downward dog is hard. I can't do it without curling my spine. Advice?

+Katherine Ahearn Keep practicing while engaging your belly muscles and lengthening your lower back (reaching your tailbone toward your heels). You can also hold Table Top and practice "cow" pose instead of cobra (lift the hips while bringing your chest through your arms, for a backbend) Then stay in table top instead of down dog whenever you feel that you're curling your spine. I hope this helps!! :-)

+Yahya Sayed I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying the classes! After th 30 days., some people are going directly to the 90 day program. If that's too difficult, I'd suggest to keep practicing the last week or 2 of this challenge (especially the final 2 days) until you're ready to move on to the 90 days. :-)

For me this day was stressful and frustrating. There were many times when she kept saying "right" when it was supposed to be "left". We are human and make mistakes, but it's a voice over and could have been fixed before posting.

I realize this class is many years old but I am just getting back into practicing and thought this 30day challenge is a great start! I really enjoy your classes and have over the years but this particular one is frustrating because of all the 'left and right' mistakes. I end up doing one side multiple times and not the other one, so I feel unbalanced at the end. I had to give it a thumbs down so I don't play it again. 🧘♀️

Sadly I can not sit back like this. My butt won't go down...I can't even reach two blocks. I have failed at a beginners yoga video. Maybe yoga is not for me in any case i have to skip this one
